It would be good if we can have a seperate section for recommended web sites and books. ( a sub division)
Other reading or listening materials can also be included.
The viewing of resources available will be much easier if they have a seperate section or board.
thanks. I welcome any comments or sugguestions.
Any other adjustments to keep the resources on a different section for easy referencing is greatly appreciated.
We can also post request for required resources.
ps: maybe also a section dedicated to lessons availabities.
Thanks in advance. Take care.
Everything else is fine.....

Forgot to add that maybe we can leave the non-current posts where they are for the time being and just place the current and future posts in a new section.
The new section will be reserved for resources such as books, e-books, audio recordings and the web sites to find them. Descriptions of the learning materials (that can be downloaded for learning at home) can be added to the recommendations.
The existing board will have anything of commerical nature, coming events, services ( lessons, sessions, courses, group discussions...), and invitations to join some activities or discussions. Also the web sites for lessons and sessions can go under this section.
Thanks in advance. Welcome any other suggestions.
Ps: just for efficiency for finding info

Otoharo!
I like wht mike has provided us, for its ease of use and lack of glitches. Why clutter it up. We use this site for our relationships with each other-- people to people, not computer to computer.!

with a new/ seperate section for reading materials we can go back to posts easily to find the required books and web sites. We will still discuss and suggest any material that can assist us in learning more efficiently.
We can suggest/discuss the relevant materials of different levels of reiki and the styles.
Book reviews from book club can be placed here.
new commers can have a look at the resources available on-line and in stores at a glance and come up with questions or comments. We can still have the friendly atmosphere of a cafe where we carry out our studies of reading and listerning materials. Something like a book review club which includes free web materials.
We can have easy assess to the web pages of interest. When we forget which books we are after we can look it up in the cafe's directory or book section. We can also find out which materials are easier to understand and refer to chapters easily.
Just to make learning from published resources a lot easier; and at the same time get feedbacks from the people at the cafe. Our store of knowledge will be neat and efficient. Imagine a library for comparing notes and expanding our own library at home.
I hope this all sounds good and helpful.
feel free to comment: all we need is an additional section on one of the main board. Compre this to a tree with two branches. One branch for books, e-books, web sites of books, and free materials (eg. free introductions to reiki practices).
The other branch for the other topics: anything of commerical nature, coming events and services (lessons, sessions, courses, group discussions...), and invitations to join some activities or discussions.
ps: I kind of find it slow to navigate thru the posts to find a particular post. Could have use the search to find the post.... but why not be organise and speed up replies and discussions. We end up with less repeated postings.
Thanks in advance.

Yes Mike,
Why don't you sit down and just whip up an additional board or two this afternoon, in your spare time of course!

LOL! Priestess....I was thinking the same thing.
BTW...since we are talking about the board, and Mike may indeed read this, does anyone else have this problem:
After I've read a message here, it turns from the bright blue color to a pale one, but frequently when I bring up the board later on (after shutting the computer down and then bringing it back up) many of the messages I've already read have turned back to the bright blue color. Just wondering if this is a problem with my own browser or does everyone have the same thing happening and it's a problem with the board itself.

the color changing back may have something to do with shutting down and booting back up. Mine often does the same thing. Mostly I ignore it, and just look for the messages tagged in red.
There is actually no reason why the book club people couldn't use this board, if they are planning to use url's. lol It isn't that heavily used now, so no sense in putting Mike to any more work.

Now if we wanted to start a "Singles Club", to get single reiki people together, we might want another board for that!

Hmmm. Yeah, but it shouldn't just be SOME messages that do that. My computer....or the software from Mike's end....should be remembering how the board was when I left it. I'm not sure which end does that, but it truly should be consistent. If you are trying to follow a long thread that started many days ago, you really shouldn't have to go wading through many that you've already read. I'm just curious if it's a browser problem that I could fix by reinstalling or upgrading.
Namaste,
Lionheart

Otoharo!
Lionheart, I have been reading messages here for a year now and I just recently discovered the change of color! It is good to be hearing from you.

Sorry,
I just got to this. Actually, yes we can have as many boards here as we want and It is easy for me to add new boards.
Just decide what boards you want with descriptions and I will add them.

lionheart,
This has to do with the setting of your browser. Your browser remembers the URL's of the pages you have visited and when it displays the links it will be blue for unvisited pages and green for visited pages.
There is a setting for how often this information is reset and it sounds like you have it set to start fresh whenever you bring up a new browser session.
The site does not keep any memory of the pages you have visited and just relies on the browsers built in functionality.
Also note that the URL's for the message boards linked of the page that lists the boards have been changed so that it has the current date in the URL. This intentially done so that the links will change back to blue each day. Someone from another site requested this to make it easier to see the boards that have been visited that day.
