This book written by a Japanese scientist discusses the effects of words, sound & music on water & the formation of crystals. Includes great pictures of water crystals formed in response to positive & negative words. Very moving proof that what we say affects whatever is around us. Makes one very cognizant of the need to use positive speech & images for the good of all. Highly reccommended.

Thank you, Holobon. I will give this a look! My sister came back from a conference that really shook her (and me when she explained.
In reference to water, due to the noise level in our oceans the whales and dolphins that use echolocation and song to communicate, can no longer hear each others song! The oceans are too loud and they get lost, cannot find other pods, etc. It used to be that whales could sing in the northern atlantic and be heard all the way over to Alaska, but no more. This has been researched in depth and proven to be true.
If they can no longer hear each others song, what damage will this due to the harmony of our seas and our planet. I believe their songs have much to due with the harmony of our earth.

Dakota,
There was a news story recently about dolphins beached by sonar.
In Florida the gentle Manatees are repeatedly scarred and killed by powerboats. Wonder what the effect is for fish & other creatures repeatedly exposed to waverunners, boats, etc.
Im still flabbergasted that water reacts to human words.
We are indeed connected to everything.

We have soooo much water within us........as do all living beings......visualizing the effect our words will have on that within water can have a profound affect upon our choice of words.....and the tone they are spoken.
Someone posted a link a couple of years ago that had the pictures that are in the book. For those that have not seen them, it would be a good place to visit.

I have listed 2 websites where you can view some of the pictures from the book, Hidden Messages in Water. Wondrous and sad all at once.

Holobon, one way to use water is to have a glass of water in your hands, both hands but not touching. that is your fingers do not touch. After being reiki, then drink the water. I have this very benficial.

Dear Blackearth,
If my memory serves me, babies have a greater percentage of water than adults & as we age we lose water. Hmmmm.
Remarkably, the water that the Japaneses researcher photographed that was treated for drinking would not create crytals as it froze, only water in its natural state.
The picture of the water exposed to the words, "I hate you, I want to kill you" included a shape reminiscent of a man holding a gun. So, is water telepathic, responding to the emotion behind the words? Very interesting stuff!!
So perhaps the quote in the Bible about thinking bad thoughts being as bad as the action itself has validity on a physical level as well as a spiritual one. Plays right into manifesting, ripple effects, etc.

Dear Carole,
The ability to create positive images in one's mind, spirit or body serves all of us ultimately. What a blessing!!

Dear Finality,
Yes, this is true. Reading this book has really made me aware of what I have known all along however. The Reiki symbols set an intention in your mind. Symbols are easier for the mind to interpret than words. (i.e: "red light means stop"). But as we know, one doesnt have to utilize the symbols for Reiki.
If water can pick up on words, what do our thoughts & emotions do to all the living things around us on a cellular level?
WE really do create our reality!!

Holobon, I am just now reading this. Yes, I agree with you. In my own life story, during my youth, I discovered that I had particular difficulty playing boogie woogie because the muscles and legiments that cause the right left movement of the left arm necessary to pay the very fast movement needed just was not fast enough. So I chose not to become a professional pianist. However, the part of me which did want to do that, did so. Two of us thus, grew into adulthood, going our separate ways not conizant of each other. My intellect goes blah! at that one.

I wanted to add that as we were first learning the fine points of reiki, it was brought to my attention that the use of symbols communicates directly to the body rather than the mind. That would include the water in the body.

Nice note about water Finality.
I use water as a grounding "tool"
Nothing beats standing still and looking into the bottom of a large glass. Watch the water flow, feel the taste, the smell.
Enjoy the texture of the glass.
Works very well for me.

Dear Finality,
Yes, our body/ our mind responds to symbols. One is taught in hypnosis that the mind will not respond to a negative concept such as "dont think of the red car" as the mind, of course, will only see the red car. The water crystal sees & reacts to the symbol of the words. I keep remembering the crystal representation of " I hate you, I want to kill you" & the figure of a man with a gun that was in the middle of the crystal. When I lose my temper or I respond with negativity I create more of the same in the environment around me. Well, I know that, but to see it in water just blew me away. When I pick the book up & look at the crystals I remember that this is not some esoteric concept, this is reality. This is the way it is!!

I have always believed this to be so. My mother taught me this. Our very thoughts effect all around us, especially plants, animals and people. This concept is taught in Medical Intuition......that our emotion/feelings may not realy be ours, but coming to us from another source.
The town south of us has horrible water.....cloudy, sulfer....no body drinks it except me. I hold the glass in my hand and give it Reiki or pray over it.....sometimes I just keep telling it how very much I am grateful for the life giveing properties it shares with me. I bring the water to classes.......pass out sips to students. The water in its natural state always makes them spit it back in the glass. I then pray or talk to the water. Pass out more sips.....every one comments on how clear the water has become. They taste it and find it very good. I then tell the wate how bad it is......taste bad, filled with sulfer, makes people sick. This water ends up tasteing worse than when it was fresh out of the tap. This experience has a profound affect upon people. The last thing I do is to give each person a glass filled with the realy nasty tasteing water. Each person clears the water using Reiki, prayer or apreciation.

Dear Blackearth,
How blessed you are to have learned this from family.
It seems very very strange to me that I can have lived so long and missed this.
The earth & it's people can be healed with intention alone?
Have I been living a dream all these years? Sleep walking? Im blown away.

Blackearth, did your students SEE you do Reiki and pray over the water? Did they HEAR you then tell the water that it was dirty, etc.???
Just thinking of the power of suggestion here (and playing Reiki curmudgeon for one moment only.) Not that I don't believe the water could be changed with Reiki and prayer; I do. Just thinking that in this instance suggestion (in the minds of the students) may have had as much to do with the apparent "changes" in the water. What's your opinion?

I suppose that the power of suggestion could cause them to taste a difference......Watching the cloudiness disappear and return and then become denser. That is what convinces.
Try it for yourself. Some of my students experiment on others......keeping the process out of sight and sound. I love the doubting Thomases......once they are convinced, there is no turning back.

Hmmmm......I'll have to try this. Now to find some nasty-but-safe-to-drink water. Wish my son still lived in the house with the nasty sulfur water. Now that wasn't a nice thing to wish, was it? Tee hee. He sure did hate that stinky water, no matter how much "treatment" he bought for it. He grew up with great water and it was quite an adjustment.

Our interaction with the world is truley profound. Our thoughts effect the water in other beings and our bioelectrical field interacts with that of stones....minerals and other inanimat objects. Choose to change the world? LOVE....find the good in each person, each situation. If enough people would do this, we could change the world over night. Got to start somewhere.

Otoharo!
Having read all the messages so far, it occurs to me that we can apply this knowledge to the energy of a water person. The water person pulls negativity to itself and cleanses it, whether this be from humanity as a whole or a single person. This is why the water energy is the healing energy of this world.

Hi,
what you have all said, is true in it's own way. Imagine, drinking really pure water, I would think our mind etc would likely be transformed.
Water is simple and tastless and formless, yet we all need it as a main supply. Therefore, what on earth would we find that has no worth at all according to its physical form.....
Also water itself comes in many different levels of strength. If we use water wisely and with appriciation of its benefits and wonders; what have we to hate water for ever if a huge wave were to come onto us. As we know most things appear in balanced and widely varied forms and patterns etc.
I know that I like watching waves but never dared to be in a high wave. If we can sometimes detach ourselves from keep thinking how dangerous things are (while being careful), we get to be struck with awe and bewilderment (in a good sense) and marvel at what befalls us.
ok, finishing up....
see things in a variety of view points, and we can sense much more.....

The author talks of some experiments in putting rice in two containers of water, then giving one container gratitude and positive words, while the other container gets either negative words, such as "you fool" or ignored. I decided not to just believe it because it was printed in a book. It seemed like an easy experiment to duplicate in the home. So I did.
I took two bottled waters from the same carton (so one would assume the water was of the same mineral content, etc.) and placed the same amount of brown rice in each and resealed them, placing them both side by side in a window. Every day I would pick them each up separately and tell one that it was an ugly, useless piece of junk; the other would be told that it was beautiful and life-sustaining, and given words of gratitude and love. The experiment continued for about 6 weeks. Today I opened the bottles.
Man, what a difference! They were visibly different before I even opened them. The unloved water was clearer, with almost no bubbles and the rice was just sitting on the bottom. The loved bottle was already foamy and the rice was mostly on top, looking very soft and yeasty. When I opened them, the loved bottle overflowed with the powerful, yeasty foam and it smelled mellow, yeasty and vaguely sweet, obviously fermenting quite well. The unloved water had no foam and the smell was overpoweringly sour. I didn't tell my husband which was what; I just let him smell them and his face said everything quite eloquently.
Need I say more? What a powerful experiment! I am still quite awed by it.
Namaste,
Lionheart
