Urantia

Otoharo!

I am drawn to bring attention once again to this incredible book. Those of you who have known me through out the years have heard this. Back in the days whn I toured with Inner Peace Movement, (lecture tours), I came to the end a month before our retreat began. I could not stay on the center grounds, so one of the board members who lived in that town, offered me a place to stay for that month. While there, with so much time on my hands while my energy was sky high, I looked around and found something to read. It was this book. (I already knew it as I had read it earlier at the home of a relative) When I read the foreword, I discovered that this book was conceived as a tool for us in preparing for the big shift and the age which will follow. The administrators at various levels of our universe contributed. There is a section that explains how physical reality came to be. Another section tells about how all systems operate, the overview. Then tells the story of our specific universe and all our mishaps and how they came about, who did what when. The last section tells the story of our paricular creator.

None of these narrators is human except the Mighty Messenger. What CWG calls HEB's are described as finalitors in Urantia. There apparently are as many beings not human as there are humans. Humans evolve, these others are created for the jobs they do, they are perfect and remain perfect. We have free will to do as we please. These perfect beings do not.

When I lived in New Mexico, I joined with a group there which read Urantia each week. It was a group who read it from beginning to end then began again, for we can not fully grasp it all in one reading.

So that month that I lived in the bedroom of a private home I read Urantia cover to cover and again and again. I knew I was in it somewhere, could not find which one was me. but it sure spoke to me loud and clear. Again when I moved to Washington State, I belonged to a group who read Urantia. I participated in their August retreat to celebrate Jesus' real birthday. (He was not born at Christmas, that was set up by Christians to coincide with the cultural celebration of winter.)

If you really want the dope on the big shift, this is where you will find it.

Dear Finality,
Im curious if you have ever read other books about Urantia ( umm, the Source Authors of Urnatia, may be the title of one & there is another one that attempts to debunk the Urantia book & I found more books about Urantia listed on the net). Apparently some look at Urantia as a so called "channeled" work by authors with prior connections to the Seventh Day Adventist religion & created during a time when spiritualism was popular in our culture. Have read neither book but your unshakeable belief in this book has made me consider reading it, to see what it is all about. But was wondering, have you considered any opposing views on this book?

peace & joy,
holobon

I do not know the people who took the dictation and saw to it that it all got published. I am just glad they did. It does not tell us of the "real world", just physicality. So there is more to life than is chronicaled in it. Still, it continues to me meaningful to me and daily.

I can add also, that some of it is untrue. Specifically, information regarding reincarnation. They state emphatically that there is no such thing. When I first read this, I simply placed this statement on a shelf and kept on reading. I know there is reincarnation. so I did not argue. I simply overlooked that. It does not matter when I know the difference. That is the only thing I remember that is untrue.
