Let me be the first to ask a question about the book for this month, Barbara Breenen's, "Hands of LIght". She talks about doing chelation. I cannot find anywhere that she explains what it is or how to do it. Maybe I'm doing it, just calling it a different name. Does anyone know? Also, I was just wondering if anyone ( or everyone) heals on all the levels, like she explains? I am still new to this, this seems really deep? Just wondering if this is something that evolves as you practice?

Hey there Teri Jo, *hugs you warmly**
The book is a bit much at first, but I believe that it is very insightful and a great help. Read it again in a few months and see your growth from just reading the book and having your mind expanded a bit in different ways to heal.
The chelation technique you speak of begins on page 205. There is an index in the back of the book where you can just look for a word and find it in the book per page..
As far as working with the higher levels of the auric field.. I too was puzzled if any others used this form of healing.. No one I knew did, though I knew some great healers.. I started being able to perceive the higher levels of the auric field though because of the images she provided and by working on others and placing my hands in their fields of energy..
I don't work the way she describes even still, putting in shields etc.. is a bit too much for me.. At one point she speaks of putting in something that breaks and she puts it back in.. And it still doesn't hold or take as you will. To me this was not to be and she was doing this because she thought it best, not for the highest good.. Perhaps she had an agreement with spirit ( of the person being healed) because she says she was working with her guides during this..
Her work seems very intense and that seemed a bit strange to me.
Its been a few years since I read her book and I still use chelation therapy at times. It works great.. You just imagine your fingers as rakes basically.. See the energy flowing out your fingers and their ehteric body ( fingers) elongating. You can actually feel this occuring as you send energy through intention out your hands.. Like a force of energy or something.. You can make them very long too.. I used to take my etheric fingers go all the way through the table with them to clear energy.
Remember that energy follows thought. What ever you see in your mindscape, ( visualize) Is. Even if you only think this and can see nothing in your mind thats ok.. Intention is the key. Once you are using this process, the elongatedfingers stay activated until you no longer need them. Then they just kinda fade away if you forget you used them.. In truth, your fingers are always encompassed with your etheric body, you are just choosing to use them in a productive way to heal at this point.
Don't let the length of the book or all her techniques freak you out.. Just keep the ones that seem to ring true with you and release the rest.
Love and Light dear friend and bravo on completing the book!

Thank You Jahnavi, I did look back to the glossary, but only looked on the first entry, page 148, anyway, had I have found it, I wouldn't have asked the question, and then wouldn't have gotten your answer. You answered more of my questions, the ones I didn't ask. Very insightful, Thank You. I will re-read this I'm sure many times. I would like to find something, that's maybe midway between this book and where I'm at now. Any suggestion what that book would be?

Hey there Terijo,
So glad that I was able to answer some of your questions.
Wayyy out there, but some really great books on shamanism that you might enjoy that have lots of great information and healing stuff in them for the head is Lynn Andrews. the first book is Medicine woman and this will lay the foundations of some amazing ceremonies and just things..
I can't really think of any healing books per se.. What types of reiki do you use and what level are you? Don't sweat all that levels of the aura stuff that she puts in there.. Its way above many peoples head and you will find as you use the energies, you will tune in naturally to some of these levels..
I like the visualization.. I use that as I see fit and it seems to come in waves as to when I use it.. For a while I was brushing everyone down..That was really cool and the client really vibrates for a while after you are done..
Love and Light my sister!

I have a question in relation to this book.
Has anyone tried out the physical exercises that are shown in the book? How have they affected you and your healing work?
Bright Blessings,
Evie

I am loving the book after a slow start. I haven't played with auras for awhile, very fun to start up again. Yes I have been doing some of the exercises. My healing work is only on my family and friends and plugging into the UEF. I think it is fun sensing the auras again but REIKI is it for me. What do you need to know?
One exercise I haven't come across yet in the book is the one I used to do with a friend of mine. Have your friend think of different situations while you are focusing on their aura. Something sad ,glad, happy, loving, angry any emotion to elicit a reaction in their aura. 1 minute per thought. (you do get tired) My friend thought of her grandmother's death, then her daughters birth. The changing colors, intensity and volume was unbelievable.
Love, light and colorful emotions

I was lucky once to see her in a workshop at the Body and Soul conference in San Fransisco in 98' . She was very interesting but pretty complicated. The thing to remember is, no one does it exactly the same way as anyone else. You do what feels right and every person and every situation is different. Nothing is written in stone.

I have just read a few pages and I thought the I better be fully awake to read it properly.
It is like a uni book which commands attention not flip and read.
I was impressed by what she can do and hope that we can trust her to tell us incredible depths of her field of work.
Also hope that she will be able to explain in simplier language to the new commers.
Take care.

Hey there Eviemay, Blessings... :}
I have used the materials in the back intermittedly. They are great for clearing the chakras. I like the exercises for the lower two chakras and the heart.. The only stuff I don't like actually is the knee bending exercises because this causes me such pain. :}
As far as using them directly before a healing session I have not. As said here previously you have to go with what feels right for you. Perhaps many do a chakra clearing session for a bit before healings but I am not with that consistently. But I do healing work everyday on myself so perhaps that is just about the same affect.
I liked the lower chakra stuff and the chest openers because I could really feel them and they did feel very affective. I like to stretch using yoga poses I've brought into my daily practice and that is what feels right for me now.
Hope this helps,
love you!
