David R. Hawkins/spirituality

I have recently come across a new and thought provoking (to me!) author, and am in the middle of the second book of his spiritual series: "Power v. Force", "The Eye of the I", and "I". They discuss Truth and Reality, which he calibrates using kinesiology, and is described according to his own spiritual experiences (NDE, personal experiences of transcental enlightenment. etc.).

These books are not about Reiki, or energy, but the path to, and the state of, enlightenment, which seems to be co-occuring with many who practice Reiki. He also discusses religion vs. spirituality, and cites historical and spiritual leaders, from all sources.

He is an MD, psychiatrist, and has co-authored a book with Linus Pauling. Much of the writing is pretty deeply metaphysical, which requires me to read in small (verrrrry small!) doses! However, my crown always pops open when I start processing! Must be my personal method of kinesiology testing of Truth! Examples of day to day applications are simply beautiful, or perhaps that means beautifully simple? Yet I noticed what could be perceived as occasional conflicting or questionable statements, both in the second book, and within one of the webcast interviews (see Resources). He also highly recommends the Course in Miracles.

He also is a monthly guest on a webcast radio program. The sight is listed on resources board. There are some archived interviews.

Namaste

Hi Robin,

I only am familiar with "power vs force"...and although I am far from being done with it, and yes, I too have to take it in small doses, I find that I am completely immersed in this book. He is able to give powerful insight and proof into age old wisdom, I think. But, then again, I am only in the beginning of it.

Blessings, always
Dina
