dream meaning?

Y'day i had this intense dream.
I'm in the bed and a new born baby,tiny so small like it is still in the womb looks, covered in kind of red light comes to my heart region. It is a boy- i think. he is so helpless and has a small red swelling on the back of his head.
An intense feeling of love/compassion comes oveer me and I say "He needs healing" and hug him to my heart and place my hand on his head.I practice Reiki and I think placing the hand was equivalent to healing i guess.
I've never had such a strong dream and would like to know what the message is.

Shiva,

dreams are opportunity to explore what our minds are working on resolving.

Impression is that the new born represents new idea or new direction in your life. A decision needing to be made that still is troubling. Giving birth to the new idea and becoming comfortable with its manifestation.

The red swelling on the head being the same color as the heart region indicates accepting with unconditional love the new idea or direction....

all this is speculation and interpretation.

what you decide has meaning is of tne most importance.

dreams like water and thought flow through only the meaning we attach to them gives weight...

learn and let go!

love and light Sister Shiva

Otoharo!

shiva, each persons' dreams are specific to them. If this were my dream I would be the baby and I would be me cuddling, loving, this me that I accepts as having a healing need, that I can meet, I do, and feel blessed mulifold.

shiva,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

- from a Jungian perspective it is not recommended to place too much on the interpretation of single dreams (that is why dream diaries are so useful)

- unless one knows one is a lucid dreamer and practices dream yogas (which is not a Jungian perspective)

>:-}}

- having said that?? I will offer that what you see as a fully formed infant wreathed in red light (and a male infant) suggests a dormant red energy issue (possibly related to Yang energy) that has asked you to pay attention now

>:-}}

- that you took it to your heart suggests that the issue is related to Heart and may be better understrood thru Heart (but may not be a Hewart Center issue, per se)

- that your feeling in the dream was "compassion" seems Key

>:-}}

- hope this helps

it was an interesting input.do you mean "male energy".I don't know what you mean by dream yoga-is it same as yoganidra?where you are deeply relaxed but not asleep?i did practice yoga nidra for a while but not for a long time.
the feeling was so intense that it could have been a real experience.
thank you very much.

Shiva,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

- red energy does not have to be Yang energy but it does suggest certain possible Chakra associations

- and, you mentioned that the infant may have been a boy so to consider that Yang might be involved seems to follow

>:-}}

- one of the skills to develop in the dream yogas is what might be referred to in the West as "lucid dreaming"

- this is not yoganidra since one is one is asleep (although some might contend that being lucid in one's dreams is actually akin to being "awake")

>:-}}

- another aspect of dream yogas is karmic traces that manifest in dreams

- perhaps you might order: Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep (can be found on-line)

- as someone once observed: nothing un-real exists
