Horrible dreams

I need a little help here (or just meds ha, ha)
I have been having horrible dreams for the last couple of days. I was attuned to another energy work but with no other side effects a couple of days ago.

These dreams leave me terrified. I wake up and see spirits in my room which I immediately clear. The dreams have been about terrible plagues, and vengeful spirits. I have said the lords prayer more in the last couple of days than in a month and cleared my room several times.

Last night at the end of one of the dreams I saw many symbols that made me think of India. The patterning of them is what made me think of it. I have scrawled a couple of them.

I did try to come to terms with the spirits in my dreams and room with no real outcome. Last night I called upon my bear totem to assist with good results.

Any input would be helpful.

Thank you,
Tracey

Otoharo!

Tracey, I wish I could help, but honestly I have no idea. You must have been connected tothe astral plain. We always avoided that when I worked with Coll. Our dream work was for the purpose of eleviating all nightmares, bad dreams, unfavorable dreams of any sort. Your teacher for this work must have some antidote to help you.

Tracey,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

- sounds like fertile grounds for dream diary

>:-}}

- without knowing more about the nature of the characters in your dreams and perhaps the energy tradition to which you were "attuned" it is difficult to say much.

- are you actually 'awake' when you see spirits in your room or are you seeming to be awake during 'dreams within dreams'?

- interesting that Bear seems to have been more succesful that the lord's prayer.

- you might try doing some protection for your room - see if this helps; of course it will not do much for those aspects of your dreams that are you, so to speak.

- you say vengeful spirits. How could you tell thgey were vengeful?

Hi Tracey,

So sorry that you're having these dreams! I have suffered from nightmares at times, sometimes it would be for a month at a time. I would wake up frightened every night. I started sleeping with a moonstone under my pillow and saying this phrase before bed:

"I pray for peace from within, when I sleep let it begin.

Those in the shadows speak softly and seek peace from within."

A friend relayed that message to me during a reiki share...it really helped. I very rarely feel tormented at night like I used to.

Sleep soundly,

Jessica

I was thinking along the same lines of really being awake myself.

I've had times where as you mentioned you have the dream in a dream thing going on. and also times where the body wakes up but the mind is still a little bit in dream mode and seen absolutely crazy stuff then panick for a sec and realize oh hehehe i'm really awake now.

My first impression after what i responded to peter with is that in general a recurring dream means a lesson we need to learn but haven't yet. A message " not yet recieved". My understanding of nightmares is that regardless of actual meaning it's your subconcious, spirit guides or whatever you preferr giving us a message in a powerful way because we're just not getting it. So if you're having recurring themes as nightmares my guess(please note i said guess) is to find a way to determine the meanings of these dreams as quickly as possible. I'd personally suggest not just asking others( which is definitely okay) but to also try meditation and perhaps a journey to see bear specifically to see if your totem has answers or even just a spirit journey with the intent to find the message.

You may want to try self-hypnosis, which can connect you with your subconscious. I find that this is a very effective method for interpreting my own dreams, as I am connected with my subconscious but in complete control (I can stop it if something gets to be too much). However, I do believe that meditation is the way to go for the spirits that you are seeing.

Also you may want to consider whether these spirits you see are actually vengeful or if it is possibly your fear reflected back? I would suggest doing some research on the symbols, they could be the key.

Normally I would agree but I can tell you I was wide awake when these things happened.

Post note: Feeling 100% better today. No bad dreams last night and moodiness is gone.

Thanks to any and everyone that helped.

Thank you. I have been giving much thought to just that. Trying to find a common denominator in the dreams, the hidden message (or the very obvious!). Have not had time to meditate but agree this is a way to go for many questions.

The dreams were not present last night. Protection? Message received? We shall "see".

I have learned to see the difference between the fear of such things and the actions. In each of these dreams I was personally, physically attacked as in choking, injury, chased. There were others in these dreams that were not incurring the attacks. "They" seemed angry with me.

A couple of months ago I was having bad dreams about my children but was able to realize that it was my own concern of working too much and not being there for my children when they need me. Once I quit my third job (yes, third)the dreams stopped.

These of late were violent towards me. For whatever the reason they came I am glad they were not present last night.

Thank you for your thoughts,
Tracey

Tracey,

Sometimes just talking about a recurring dream will make it stop. I've had that happen several times. :)

<<In each of these dreams I was personally, physically attacked as in choking, injury, chased.>>

That's one of my recurring dreams, also - that I'm threatened or under physical attack, and I'm too paralyzed with fear to scream or fight. My husband says I often wake him up when I cry out in my sleep. If it gets too bad he wakes me up, otherwise he soothes me and he says I settle down.

Recently, when I recommitted myself to start doing self-Reiki daily, the vivid dreams came back - or at least I started remembering them more often. No matter how vivid or silly or terrifying the dreams were, I started telling my husband about them - out loud in the daylight, in excruciating detail.

The next time I had that dream, I fought back, bit the attacker's finger off (hmmm, watching too much LOTR? LOL) and he ran off. I haven't had the dream since. :)

I never had issues with nightmares. Within the dream i get freaked out like anyone else. But "usually" when I wake up i'm just like WOW COOL!!. All those horror movies probably. : )

Celt,

That's awesome!!!! You bit off your attackers finger in your dream!!! Maybe we do have control of our dreams...

I'll keep that in mind next time I dream about the red snake that taunts me...I'll bite of his head.

If you have control why not ask the woman and the snake why there are there in the first place.

I don't remember the specifics of the dream (but had attackers of some sort) I had the other night. but when i woke up i asked my new Citrine pal to give me protection and when I went back to sleep I had a continuation of the dream where I wasn't scared of them anymore and knew there was nothing they could do to me.

Otoharo!

Tracey, since I last posted on this thread, I have recalled in early childhood, I was pursued running and running, dodging, etc. During IPM, a counselor told me that someone wanted to prevent me from following the life plan I came in with. They wore saffron colored gowns (which I did not see in childhood). I had formerly been a member of their group and they wanted me to continue with them.

Once I was able to scream, during a dream, which ended it! Of course that means, I returned to my body in order to scream.

hey
i also have dreams, of chasing, ususlly alien faces, huhe white boat, and round spaces.

I had seen spirits in my room, before many times.

I often feel two energies...one is fasc. me to grow, and the other stoping me...I have been doing everything, but what i really love-music.
When comes to music, things happen-like all 3 comuters die in the same day, or someone dies in my familly.
Even, now my album is almost finished, when my partner lost interess, and went completly into teaching yoga and meditation...
Do you also see 11:11? Someone told me that a year ago or so...but I forgat...was it you?

Sorry to hear of your dreams. No, I have been seeing 9:11 every where. That has not stopped but the dreams thank fully have. I was speaking with Medicine Bear yesterday and I think we hit the nail on the head about the dreams.

I have been feeling attacked lately by my husband when it comes to my energy work and my whole person. In my dreams it has been me coming to terms with this lack of support and put down of my goals. By me protecting myself and fighting back in my dreams and after I realized that I was learning that I had to do that in real time. As Joe and I said... follow me or get out of my way! Needless to say hubby and I had a chat last night and more to come.

If I can help you in any way please ask.

Love and light,
Tracey
