Last night I had a dream that my right arm started to bleed unexpectedly. I forget what I was doing, but I was in my house sitting on the floor. I looked down and saw that my arm was bleeding - heavily. I jumped up and ran into the kitchen, afraid I'd get it on the carpet. A small stain on the carpet upset me - as if I was afraid someone (my mom? my husband?) would be angry with me for getting a spot on the carpet. The arm bled from a cut, about 1 or 2 inches long, right on the same spot I always get blood tests drawn from every two months. (They can't use my left arm - veins are too small).
Any thoughts appreciated! Thanks.

Strong images....blood, house, stain.....
For me this is a cry for forgiveness....
and there is a sense of urgency to do so .....

Thanks - I will have to meditate on this. It was a very unusual dream for me. Very vivid.

More food for thought. As always, only you know what the dream symbols mean for you,
Arm: problems with arms, seek medical check up
Bleeding: avoid controvercy with friends or relatives.
Carpet: dirty or shabby, avoid debt
Afraid:you will recognize your difficulties and overcome them.

celt,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- it seems that the over-concern that you might get blood on the carpet had more importance than the blood itself
- 'fear' of stains might perhaps hint at some olde shame issues? Some perhaps involving real blood?? Remember, you are only talking here about 'dream blood'
>:-}}
- stains may also have some implications about 'debts' - and not of money
>:-}}
- as a Loppan I know once commented (not that I necessarily agree with him entirely): things in dreams are "fake"
>:-}}
- I might be more inclined to say "symbolic"
bagl
- is this only a symantic difference? No.
- but that is another story

Dear Reikicelt,
Just thoughts:An issue opening up too much? An important one that you would prefer not to be seen by another? Maybe opening up way more than usual (unexpected pouring forth rather than the controlled expected blood collection at the doctor?)
peace & joy,

Your thoughts are resonating with me... I have a book deadline in less than a month and I'm dragging my feet like crazy.
I've finished a book before so I know it's not that I think I can't do it. However, I remember what it was like finishing that first book. Have you heard the saying "It's easy to write - just sit down at the keyboard and open a vein." When I'm in the throes of writing something, I "lose" everything to it for a while. I forget appointments, "zone out" during conversations, hear voices in my head (the characters talking), lose sleep over plot problems, etc. The end result may be pretty, but the process of getting there is not. One some level I feel like I don't have the luxury of "losing myself" to the process, at least not right now. My family needs me to be "here", if you know what I mean - not taking a temporary trip to writer's insanity.
That's it...that's the struggle.
Thanks for your thoughts!
Celt
