I had a dream about my favorite student that became a master /teacher....
She was handcuffed to the bottom of the ocean in a beige sequin dress. She was beautiful like a mermaid. Her dark hair was flowing like seaweed. I made no attempts to rescue her. I felt nothing .

I feel like there maybe a universal story here that i am unfamilar with....a woman underwater.....prisioner???I did think that she committed sucide , but perhaps not?????

any help would be appreciated...

- without knowing if you actually have a 'favorite student' who has become a Teacher then I suggest the following "framework" for the dream

- the ocean is, of course, your Unconscious

- the woman is some aspect of you

- so, this dream might well be trying to tell you that some as yet unrevealed aspect of yourself is 'trapped' in your Unconscious - chained to "olde thinking" or "olde feeling"

- one view would be that this may well be a Golden Shadow dream - indicating that you have Golden Shadow work to do

- which is a good thing

Usually to me any dreams that are in water are about the relationship with mother like back in the womb. Perhaps she has a beautiful flowing gift but family issues are keeping her trapped from going into the other world that she is capable of going into. Afterall mermaids have the ability to travel into 2 worlds. Whether this relates to her or you I am not sure. It is not uncommon for teachers and students to stay connected long after the attunements.
