Glass bottom coffins at the fair

I drempt I was at an amusment park in Japan.
One of the rides was a farris wheel but all of the cars were coffins made of glass. The sides and bottoms were clear glass and the lids were black glass with pink glass roses.
There was a man who was doing a "voice over" on my dream. Like commentary on a news reel.
He was saying "and this is a new spin on an old favorite. Young men are often eager to try this one out (the ride) if their brides will allow it"
Then there were some shots of two young couples who were newly weds. The girls work fluffy pink skirts like poodle skirts.
The men were acting as though this coffin car ride was a test of manhood LOL
In my dream I was riding the ride. But I was not in one of the cars. I was hanging on to the frame of the farris wheel. It would spin forward a bit than spin backward.
Interesting dream anyway!

Dear Suzette,

This has the feeling of a different time, when there was still a sense of innocence in our culture ( 50s poodle skirts, ferris wheels, etc ). Since you were hanging on the outside & not inside the ride , you are the observer, thinking about, looking at relationships? marriage? death? ( though not necessarily death of the body: for example an end to something:innocence, youth, freedom, spirit etc?. One can see through glass quite well so a glass coffin is an interesting symbol. Is there any event or course of action in your life that could be an end ? Guesswork here on my part since dreams are so personal. Cool dream.

peace & joy,
holobon

Oh you have better insight than I!
Yes marriage is an issue now. LOL but I have only recognised or acknowledged this since I had that dream! I dont mean that there is some drama going on in my marriage. More that there is no life movement.
LOL The irony of that dream is quite clear now.
The ferris wheel - life movement (thanks firekeeper)
The coffins - stagnation
The poodle skirts - primarily a recognition of traditional male / female roles.
Japanese - probably another acknowledgement of tradition

Oh this makes so much sense!
I want to shake things up - sell the house, move in general.
Another city or state. Clean out the old and have a stab at somthing new. (the old is no longer working on any level)
But my husband seems unwilling to change anything even though he often voices disatisfaction. But he is driving me crazy with all of his complaining and non-changing. LOL

As a matter of fact the men in the dream wanted to ride in the coffins - the women did not LOL!

No great revelations about how to get the situation flowing but the dream did seem to allow me to solidify what I have been mulling about.

Thank you for the input Holobon. I always enjoy reading your posts. If you dont mind me saying so I read your posts to learn how to be insightful. I am glad I have the oportunity to learn from you as I can.
