I was meditating today and was receiving much useful information but then I was shown myself lying like on a beach chair and I seemed to be wrapped in a white sheet. There were earwigs crawling all over me.

I checked out the cool dream site that I often use from the resource board but no luck. Unfortunately I was disturbed out of my meditation or I would have pursued it further.

Just thought I would ask for ideas. Thank you,

I dont know the signifigance of earwigs.
The white sheet might be seen as protection. Do you find earwigs disgusting? Perhaps this is just a vision showing you that you are protected from the "little nasties" we encounter in everyday life. Earwigs being common, might mean the sort of irritants we face such as traffic jams, long lines, rude people, crabby bosses etc. The fact that there are a lot of them might just be a signal that there are some minor (and not always addressed) irritants that you deal with. The sheet might be representative of emotional protection. Just ideas and suggestions.
I dont really know what these might mean to you.

For myself I would probably just let the image slide on by. I often find disturbing visions and dreams nothing more than emotional garbage. Having the vision or dream, for myself, is often just a way of jetisoning the garbage out of my system. I find this especially true with disturbing images while meditating. If I can (and I cant always) just let the image slide on by without judging it or getting emotionally involved with the vision, after my meditation I feel just wonderful!

Dear Dakota,
There is an urban legend that the earwig is so named because it likes to crawl into your ear & then eats through your brain & comes out the other ear.
So, perhaps there is something that potentially could eat at your brain ( produce worry, stress, confusion?)but you are being protected by spirit or spiritual practice or good intent? Just a guess. Seemed very protective & positive to me & may just be an acknowledgement that you are protected by spirit or purity of heart.

Thank you guys. Sounds good about letting it slide by as I don't like earwigs (ick!) and would rather not spend time worrying too much, LOL I was curious though as I could not find anything about earwigs in visions or dreams.
