Goddess and demons

Okay, so here's the dream I've been wondering about. The worls was being run by a group of goddesses who were of a "white trash" origin, living in group among castaway furniture and appliances. A young, mortal man fell in love with one of the goddess, but could only see her when she granted it. He wanted to see the goddess whenever he could, so he traveled to Hell to find help to see the Goddesses at will. There he found a very likable Rasputin in charge, who said that if the young man were to see the goddesses, he'd also be burdened with seeing the demons of Hell. Yes, I really dreamed this at a time I'm going through great changes in my life. Whaddaya think?

Blessings,
Roxy

Hi Roxy,
Even Godesses reflect a bit of Hellfire within them... To be able to see the Goddess means seeing Hell as well...
Thoughts of different aspects of the self and the way others may see you?
Maybe watching too many Lost episodes on TV?? ( smile).
A very classic dream to me.

peace & joy,
holobon

I have just read your 'shadow' post. And to me, this dream speaks of integrating your light and dark sides. In an effort to find the goddess in you, which is what Reiki and such practices encourage, you will need to see and accept the darkness in you. Because after all, they are all one anyway. Just different aspects of the same. Remember, light cannot exist without dark, day without night, love without hate... The white trash aspect is interesting too. Is this your low self-esteem peaking out?
Seems to me that this integration is going to happen no matter what you do to fight it. Your subconscious will no longer be suppressed. Hard as this may be to see, this is actually totally joyous :-)

Hugs to you Roxy

otoharo!

Roxy, you really said what is means to you, that you will see your darkness when you also see your goodness. Since there is no judgment, does it really matter? It comes down to choice.

Dear Nats,

Thanks for your comments. Yes, I guess indeed I am integrating positive and negative aspects of myself. As for the "white trash" bit, though, it didn't really seem that bad. For one thing, they were completely without pretense, and natural, which seemed like a good thing. Maybe "white trash" was an incorrect term, although it seems likes the closest description I could come up with. But what the heck about the rubbish in the background?

Love,
Roxy

Hi Roxy :-)
Glad to know the white trash thing wasn't a negative thing for you. It's important to remember how you 'felt' in the dream. So maybe the white trash is about finding the goddess in the unlikeliness of places? That she is real and not of pretense? Just throwing ideas around...
