The Reiki Cafe 

Hi all,
I am new here, and have posted a healing request on pain and infertility. Last night I awoke around midnight to visiond of Cho Ku Rei and Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen symbols repeatedly in my mind switching back and forth. These symbols were visioned in the area of my abdomen and chest. I was deeply relaxed and consious of my self being, sorta felt extremly okay and not freaked out by what I was experiencing. I have never felt this before and am new to reiki. I am not ashamed to express what I felt, rather I am curious. I got up for a drink after all of this ended and went back to sleep. I then had a dream of a very distant but good freind of mine drowning in a creek with horses and other various animals. I pulled my friend from the water explaining that we only had 20 minutes to free the animals before they would pass. i remember saving one puppy and wrapped him in a white sort of clothing and carried him to an old fashioned horse drawn wagon. I dont remember much else after this, it is almost like I did what I was supposed to do and that was that. I am wondering if my visions have some link to this dream. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

You said you had requested reiki on the board. In my experience when somebody sent me reiki in the night, it kept me awake. I did not know at that time that energy was being sent. I just felt so warm. It could be that you were being sent energy and that's what you dreamed?

I once sent reiki to my sister sleeping next door and she said the next morning that she actually saw me sitting next to her giving her distant reiki. I told her that I mearly was sending reiki from my room and had fallen asleep.

In question to your reply:
For the past week I have been awaken at 3 a.m. every night and cannot get back to sleep, I toss and turn till I eventually get out of bed, but never this whole week felt tired, like I havent gotten good rest. Do you believe I'm being sent energy in the night. Does this sound like your experience? Im new at Reiki and are not sure about some things still. This is really boggeling my mind.

Hi,

If, in fact, someone is sending you Reiki at night it sounds as if it is being done without your permission. If so, and you are being disturbed, then the notion that Reiki can do no harm is obviously a false notion.

Most ethical practitioners I know do not do energy work, whether it is Reiki or some other practice, without permission first. There are those, of course, who do not see lack of permission as an ethical problem. That is up to them. Irregardless of our choices, Karma will accrue according to the effects of our thoughts and actions.

Keep in mind too, that if someone is sending energy at you it may not be Reiki. If you have any notions about someone who might be sending energy I suggest you ask them staight up.

Dear Reikicurmudgeon,
I did request healing for pain and infertility about 3 weeks ago. I have never recieved reiki healing from someone else before and wonder if thats what I was feeling? Its rather strange being awaken every night at the same time, when usually it takes a bulldozer to push my bed off a clif to wake me. Noone has replied to my request stating they would send Reiki to me, so if it is indeed being sent to me, I havent a clue whom it could be. Or, better yet what if I am unconciously sending myself reiki in my sleep as firekeeper stated previously??? Which now brings me to yet another new question, can you stop energy being sent to yourself from yourself or others??? hmmmmmmmmmmmm, I am the master of questions here huh?

With intent, before you sleep, ask your gaurdian angel for help, and ask if it's okay that you be not disturbed by energy work. Ask maybe instead that If the energy work is positively charged that it go were it's needed to go for the good of all and in divine order. For some reason this popped into my head while I was typing the above, Wash your feet in cold water before you go to bed. Don't youse soaps or such, maybe yet leave the water till it reaches room tempeture, and don't just stick your feet under cold running water. Then pour the water back into the earth and just give thanks.
I know the above is weird, but I'm going to do the same. Maybe It will be refreshing. I'm not sure but it probably has nothing to do with anything mentioned. or maybe it does... Oooo, this is kinda spooky! Don't take me serious. Pamper yourself, you deserve it.
