Okay folks,
I had another dream about the Devil. In this dream he was a very unhappy being. So, using Reiki, I healed him. He turned into a mortal man. We fell in love, and got married. Sometime later he looked at me sheepishly, and told me he wanted a divorce. I was totally bereft.
What gives?
Best wishes,
Roxy

Ms. Roxy,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- sounds as if "you and your Shadow" have been in a bit of a dance down some of the 'avenues' of the ethers

Dear Mr. Firekeeper,
Does the Golden Shadow ever show up in dreams?

My dear Mr. Firekeeper,
Yes, I have. But it's always been cats. I always thought that they symbolized my own vulnerablity.
Is it possible for them to represent the Golden Shadow?
Best wishes,
Ms. Roxy

Ms. Roxy,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- are you saying that in the dreams cats are being rescued?
- I would not see the cat (or other animals) as symbolizing the golden shadow
- animals in dreams often symbolize other aspects of ourselves - including the instincts and other 'drives' such as sexual attraction, aggressiveness, consummatory behavior, etc
- I suppose the matter of vulnerability (fight or flight stuff) could be included)
- but feeling vulnerable is not necessarily the same as actually 'being vulnerable'
- the feeling aspects in dreams being very crucual)
- now, if you are the cat in the dreams and you are rescuing another animal that might be another matter
- hope this helps

Dear Mr. Firekeeper,
Forgive me for being dense. I think I misinterpreted your other post. I thought you meant the person being rescued was the Golden Shadow. As for dreams of resuing someone, giving shelter, and such, no, I can't really say that I have had them.
I used to have recurring dreams about a black woman. She was always very nice to me, and helped me out when I needed it. She only got angry when I was betraying my own best interests. Could she have been my Golden Shadow?
Best wishes,
Ms. Roxy

Ms. Roxanne,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- no, it is the rescuer who may be symbolizing a growing awareness of Golden Shadow aspects
>;-}}
- though, your (mis)interpretation brings up an interesting issue - since I might contend that when one begins to become aware of the Golden Shadow one is, in fact, 'rescuing' the Golden Shadow from the darkness of the Unconscious
>:-}}}}
- as to the black woman who was compassionate and 'helpful' to you??
- the Black Madonna is a very sacred entity!!
