Hey there,
I was at work yesterday and since I didn't get much sleep I decided to nap at lunchtime.
I was perhaps at work, can't really remember where I was but became aware of some animals in the building.
I decided to go downstairs ( unconsious?) so I started walking there. It was a split level and when I looked up to the upper landing there was the leopard ( I think, golden with spots?) laying with its own little baby.
I sat on the step going down and then couldn't move though I wanted to. The cat came up behind me and I'm thinking, oh Gosh I hope it can't feel my fear.
Then it licked me on the back of my neck.. agghh.. So, then I was thinking, I wonder if its just tasting me or is it being nice?
Then I woke up? Guess I'm moving through some fears that are not all the way conscious but whats with this cat?
Any ideas welcome..
J

Hi J,
Just thoughts:
What came to mind is "changing your spots"...none of us, least of all leopards, can do that, we just have to live with em ( the spots). Accept ourselves for who we are & others for who they are.
Seemed like a sympathy/empathy/greeting lick to me, one compadre to another.
Leopard is still a leopard on any level of consciousness? If you took the spots off a leopard he would still be a leopard though another might not recognize this.
peace & joy,
holobon

jahnavi,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- from a Jungian perspective animals that are prominent in dreams generally reflect or symbolize lower chakra issues (chakras 1-3)-to put it in non-Jungian terms
- reproductive and\or sexuality issues are making themselves known - that the leopard had a cub seems to reinforce this notion
- what specific issues might need attention are not necessarily clear from a single dream - if there is a series of animal dreams you could put together that might be helpful (the animals involved are less important from a Jungian view than they might be from a shamanic view)
- your fear feelings in the dream are important
- was the cub in the dream seeming to be ready to be fully weaned and on its own? Are there any "biological clock" issues you can relate to? Is time (here, reproductiveness symbolized by the leopard) sneaking up on you??
- hope this helps

Hey Firekeeper,
I thought I replied to this message from you but I guess not. I"m not all here these days. :}
Yes, I was having issues with wanting another child so its funny you mentioned that in your posting. I long for a child but have no partner/hubby. No other options for me except full partnership will do.
Thanks for the perspective!
J

Hi Susan.....long to time talk.
First impression from you??? Usually the answer.
Waiting for the leopard to approach. Hoping your fear is not recognized. Hoping you are seen for what and who you really are..... Anticipation.
ummmmm what do you think it means.
Have a great day
