And he's doing fine. He finally got the courage to participate in the Superman impersonation contest, and he was the best conestant there.
Rock On!

Dear Mr. Firekeeper,
Yes, it seems as if I took a step forward in my self-esteem.
Or my Animus is having delusions of grandeur.
Rock On!

Dear Mr. Firekeeeper,
I keep editing this.
No, I didn't make my own costume. It seemed to be commercially manufactured, and all the contestants seemed to be wearing a costume from the same source. The reason I was the best contestant, was because I was more mature, taller, and had a deeper voice. I should add this was a contest between pre-pubescent boys. I was also wearing this funny wig....curly blonde, perhsp Gorgeous George? The wig fit really funny and artifically. The other contestants had worn a wig during their performance, but had taken it off after their stint.
I must tell you, I'm handling a lot in my life right now, and seem not to be getting rattled the way I usually do. Perhaps its reflection of trusting my own abilities?
And despite being a good contestant, I was still kind of nerdy. I didn't get the impression that being a nerd was a negative thing though.
Rock On!
Roxy

Ms. Roxanne,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- Superman was nerdy??
?:-}}
- yes, not getting rattled may be a sure sign of being more secure with yourself - and projecting less of your inner self-criticisms onto others (thinking others view you critically or whatever)
>:-}}
- it sounds as if you might have had some fun

Dear Mr.Firekeeper,
Yes, in someways, life is quite wonderful right now, if that's what you mean by having fun.
I'm curious.....why did you ask if made my own costume?
Rock On!

Ms. Roxanne,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- since we were talking Animus, one of the key ways in which females express Animus is thru 'objectifying' their intuition and creativity
- thus, one view would suggest there is a noteable difference between donning a costume made by someone else and making the costume oneself

Ms. Roxanne,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- OK, let's see how this goes
>:-}}
- one view would suggest that for a woman, in this case you, donning the costume made by another person is more a Personna expression than an Animus expression - Personnae are the various 'Masks' we wear in our various psycho-social-ethno-cultural roles: father, mother, teacher, warrior, door-mat, clown, villain, etc, etc
- had you made the costume yourself, then one could better argue that your Animus had some say in how it turned out - it would have been a very direct Animus expression indicating some of the ways in which your Animus has developed and influences your interactions with the world
- in one sense, how your Animus is projected into the "situation" that is your life
- having said all that, one might also suggest that simply covering yourself in someone's elses Anima or Animus projection (depending on whether the costume maker was male or female), does say something about your Animus

Thanks Firekeeeper,
That makes more sense. What about if (as in this case), the costume was mass-produced by costume making company?
Rock On!

Ms. Roxanne,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- I am always glad when what I say makes sense
bagl
- there really are only two outcomes
- you made the costume or someone else did
>:-}}
- having said that, I suppose the other candidate might be (and this is a big maybe) the case where you 'designed' the costume but someone else tailored it

jaguar,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- too long a discussion for this venue
- find a Jungian website that defines and discusses the work of Carl Gustav Jung
- Animus and Anima (of more concern to males) will be touched upon
- reading the works of C. G. Jung is more highly recommended, however.
