Hello Friends,
I was wondering, if the people who are in your dream represent aspects of yourself, what then, is the aspect of yourself that you, as the first person, represents? I'm not sure if I'm making that clear, but I'll give an example.
In a dream I had a couple of nights ago, I was with some people (no one I know in real life), who were going to make a journey. I was going along with them, but I also knew that I would not be able to finish the journey with them. I was okay with that.
So, if these people represent aspects of me, and the journey represents my life, who is the "me" that won't finish the journey?
Rock On!
Roxy

Ms. Roxanne,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- other characters in our dreams are not always aspects of ourselves - depends on the level of the dreaming
>:-}}
- but, at the level to which you seem to be referring, one view is that the "I" is, essentially, Ego (from the Unconscious's perspective and other characters are aspects of ourselves normally shielded from us to some degree by their dwelling in the Unconscious)
- one might say these characters reflect some of our Karma
>:-}}
- hope this helps

Otoharo!
Roxy, one of the themes of Inner Peace Movement was dreams interpretations. Coll said that dreams may reflect what you ate for supper. They may reflect what you are planning for the next day. They may respresent something of your past. In general he felt that animals represented ones own feelings.
I find the dream itself will communicate to me a knowing of what it means. When we can become lucid and consciously participate, that is a big step in our spiritual path. Once when I still worked with him, I dreamt that "we" were like flowers in a garden, he and his partner were examining each of us. When they got to me, she said, "this one needs to sing". (I am always much happier in my life when I sing a lot during the day.)
We kept a jounal of our dreams and from our dreams we each developed our own dictionary of meanings.
