Greetings,
I dreamed I was in a real small house and was going to visit my mother in law who was in hospital. I slept in one of the bedrooms and the house was very clean. The basement light was on and the front door wouldn't lock so I left it unlocked and with the basement light on as I was trying to hurry. I went to get my granddaughter who was playing in a boat by a river. When I got back to the house I was told by my husband who arrived there with another family member that she was dead and I was very hurt and cried. Any clue on what this means. I usually dream of a large house and this was small yet cozy. Is this house represent me and what is the light in the basement symbolize ? That my lights are on in my subconscious?

- well, the house may be taken as your subconscious (the size of the house may vary depending on one's psychological state at the time of the dreaming)

- the light in the basement might reflect a hint that you need to look into the deeper, darker parts of the unconscious (meaning those areas more difficult to access - not necessarily just 'dark' issues)

- certainly the matter of death in the family could relate to matters stored more deeply in the unconscious

death in dreams can reflect significant and\or or permanent changes in you - remember any of the characters in adram may be aspects of yourself

This is an "inner child" dream where your granddaughter gave you a message to aid the "angel soul child" within you. Whatever we are not dealing with or able to express humanly we will move through the feelings during dreaming or meditation - so that the feeling moves out of the body. This particular dream represents that a part of the child within you has died...and a new part opened - the angel child part of you which has much more light, love and joy within its smaller space.

Dear Carole,
Actually it was my mother in law who died. Not my granddaughter who seemed much older to some males by the boat. (in my dream) I asked how old they thought she was and this guy said 17 and I said she was 10. Although in real life she doesn't look 17. So maybe it could be part of mother within has died as I just released 2 foster kids this year and have been doing grief for one who I never see. Thanks for your input as I am opening up more to my son and granddaughter.

Yes i realised it was ur mother in law in the dream who had died..but it was your granddaughter giving the message in the boat by the river - an angel mum/angel child message.

oh ok Carole. I wasn't sure and I appreciate your comments. It does make sense that I went to get my granddaughter as she is a sweet thing with fun energy.
