The Reiki Cafe 

Hi,
I dreamed that I met this guy Indian guy who said his tribes name and that they attend to & honor the dead. Then he took me to his mom who was mourning his dad who wasn't dead but seemed to be dying and then her daughter came in - hippie type, who I knew -and then I left but then I turned on TV and they were on Oprah with my former RM doing Reiki on this man. I called my brother to watch and he didn't seem interested and I hung up as he kept talking about other stuff and I wanted to watch Oprah, so I called my mom and told her and she didn't seem impressed to then I just watched. It was sooo cool. You could see purple tye dyed sheets or light over this guy from the hands. Yet I was annoyed that my former RM didn't let me know she would be on Opray. Do I just like getting annoyed or what? She always said she would be on Oprah someday, so she was in my dream doing Reiki. Any comments on what this may mean would be appreciated.

Let it mean that Reiki will be presented on Oprah one day soon! And when it is, it will already be so well-known that being on Oprah will be, like, yeah, I knew that already!

I've had a lot of Oprah dreams too where so much soul work is being done in the dreams - so yes I believe too that Reiki will just become so well known that it will just find it's way to the Oprah show and more can happen from that :)

Dear Aronaya,
It seems like most people would know about it by now. Oprah would most likely have a hard time knowing who to choose to demonstrate it. Who is authentic. Thanks for your response.

We could just have her come to Spark in the Park or another event where many practitioners gather. I think the lights, camera and makeup might make the Reiki work a little challenging.

A friend of mine did reflexology on local TV the other night, so anything's possible.

Maybe just have enough practitioners in the studio audience so that everyone can try it. Up on stage, have one of each lineage all talking about what Reiki is. Joyful healing pandemonium on nationwide TV, now there's a vision!

Thinking of that just made me realize how I used to spin pleasant fantasies of happy scenes in my mind. One fantasy could keep me daydreaming for days.

In adulthood, I learned to imagine the negative, as a way of heading off trouble at work. Got out of the pleasant fantasy habit. And I don't mean the - ahem - kind!

Sounds like a good practice to take up again. OK, I'm off to meditate now.

Dear Prosperity,
My impression, which may say more about me than your dream ( smile) was that we place too much emphasis on the opinions of celebrities. If it is on Oprah it must be good, it must be true!
Maybe we worry too much about what others think & getting the approval of the powers that be, wether family or celebrities.
