Dear Friends,
This is a general question, what do numbers signify in dreams?
Last night I dreamed I was selling my family's rundown house for $130,000. I suppose in that case, it has something to do with the number 13. However, there are other dreams with numbers that don't seem to have any relation to anything! I'm not a biggie on numerology, so I don't think this is the explanation. Any clues?
Blessings,
Roxy

Ms. Roxanne,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- some will put numbers into the realm of the Archetypes of the Collective Unconscious
- thus they will have significance whether one 'is into' numerology or not
- if one does not investigate numeric significances and what we might be projecting out of the Unconscious when they turn, it may mean one could be missing some important message, clue, etc

Dear Mr. Firekeeper,
My objection to numerology is that there seem to be a number of different systems of it, with different meanings to the numbers. Is there one system that seems to be more archetypical than others?

Ms. Roxanne,

- you might look at J. E. Cirlot's A Dictionary of Symbols, Second Edition - for a start
- a lot of what is in the book tends toward a Jungian approach which would be leaning towards the archetypal stuff
- there is a lot of useful stuff in the volume besides interpretation of numbers
as for 13? It reduces, magically, to 4 which may be easirer to interpret archetypally - 13 having some rather disparate interpretatins in the West
- good hunting

Dear Mr. Firekeeper,
I understand about it reducing to number 4, but the number 13 is significant. For all my claiming not to be superstitious, my association with the number 13 is that of bad luck. Wouldn't that be an appropriate way to interpret 13 in my dream?
Blessings,
Ms. Roxy

I'm not a numerologist either but now I'm a vibrational consultant (i feel energy vibrations, decipher them into books, songs, stories, art..also read and consult on the vibes received on different levels) well, I got vibes around numbers too. It's interesting as i am to run Good Vibrations classes of 12 persons..me being the 13th :) - I feel its a number about 'angel groups' - a group of vibrations that can contribute to a "Christlike" whole. think of Jesus Christ and the 12 disciples - all knew to come together. So maybe there are 12 people around you who's souls have now opened and together your vibrations would make a whole - and a whole groups of great energy!!
I've also felt numbers that give me an angel soul meaning..
For me saw a lot of 1212 and 121212 - these are a 'wakeup call' for an angel soul - who's soul will just 'hear' it.
I used to get in the past a lot of 1111 and 1010 - i realise 1010 is a brand new beginning, the coming into the soul from the heart (Reiki's a great heart vibe!) - and 1111 is when a soul is really coming into their own - and trusting the energy above their humanness (that can also be a bit of a battle as the humanness runs off saying 'lets' do this' and your soul's saying 'no let's do this'! It does eventually come into balance though.
777 was a good one for me too and 333.
333 was when i was really working the Trinity energy...and 777 is an energy of Jesus Christ.
This year was a 666 year (6 June 2006) and next year is a 777 year (7 July 2007)...so we should see a huge rise in energy after Christmas :)
Can't wait for 121212 (12 Dec 2012)!!! the Divine Angels year :)
So keep on tuning in and trusting the soul knowings - we are doing and being given so much in dreams!!!!
Blessings

Otoharo!
I like the book, Living the Life you were Born to Live. I never can keep this book because people borrow it and do not return it. NOr do I remember the author's name.

- (unless, of course, you take stock in the reputed and highly questionable association with the number of witches in a coven) - a lot of twaddle, as far as I am concerned

Mr. Firekeeper,
Yes, I know there's nothing unlucky about 13, and in some cases, the meaning is very positive. But I just can't help, despite that knowledge, feeling a little jumpy on Friday the 13th.....
Blessings,
Roxy

Dear Carole WorldAngel,
I've ready too many times on too many boards about people seeing 1111, for me to not take it seriously. Recently, a lot of 11's are showing up in my life, more than I think can be explained by pure randomness.
The number 11 also seems to have some significance in regard to healing in my life. Despite living in a city famous for its skyscrapers, there are only three tall buildings I go into on a regular basis. The first one is where I go for treatment of my bipolar disorder, where the psychiatric clinic is located on the 11th floor. The other two building s are where I go for my volunteer work, which is an organization to help people heal from 9/11. In both cases, the organization is located on the 11th floor. In the case of one of them, 11 is also the street number.
A number that used to occur a lot was 711. Any particular meaning to this, other than winning at craps?
Blessings,
Roxy

Dear Mr. Firekeeper,
That may be true. It's just so deeply ingrained, I don't know what to do about it.

Ms. Roxanne,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- if I may be so presumptuous as to make a suggestion??
- if you were to manifest 13 compassionate actions over the course of 13 consecutive days??
- I mean, how unlucky could that be??

Dear Mr. Firekeeper,
I do try to engage in compassionate action whenever the opportunity presents itself. However, I suspect that I do too much self patting on the back, to have it be good Karma.
Blessings,
Ms. Roxy
