I dreamt that the cards were laid facing me in the usual ten card spread, decipiting a cross with the 2nd card overlapping the first, and cards 7 8 9 and 10 to the side.
My focus is on card 8, It was the death card, and a voice said to me to be cautious.
If anyone understands tarot, could you help me out here?
I can't remember the other cards, although I understood it all in the dream, now though It's all gone.

- no one I know who reads the cards (including myself on a rare occasion) would attempt to interpret a spread without knowing all the cards and their positions - let alone try to interpret one card isolated out of a spread (it would be a bit like reading too much into a single dream)

- and, there are a huge number of 'spreads' that one may do when reading the cards - I know of no 10 card spread I would term "typical"

- as to dreaming of elements of the Tarot? Perhaps get a copy of "Jung and Tarot: An Archetypal Journey"

All kidding aside, it was asinine of me to think that anyone could help in the way I asked.
I think the spread is called the celtic cross spread.
I will look for that book.

In my understanding to take a card out of a whole spread alters how it is represented.

The death card also represents rebirth and the cycles of all things.

I take you sentiment and echo it with a heart smile.
It seems that I'm going through some changes, I'm trying though witch makes the notion of the death card meaning rebirth seems appropiate. A kind of out with the old and in with the new.
