A healing dream

After getting a shiatsu session done, that night I had a very strange dream.
I dreamt that I lay on a bed and a figure of a man stood to my right with his hands outstretched giving me, I suppose a reiki healing.
He transformed to two others on either side of me, who then changed into two others, doing the same and looking me in the eye.
I could see a big face begining to for above floating near the ceiling.
I took it to be an angel, and that the angel was satan, and that that i'd called him somehow.
Scared of this development, I 'fled' the dream, more like that i'd fled the fact of my calling for satan, as well.
This scares me, in the dream and in waking life.
Any thoughts?

The forces of creation and destruction are one.
Dreams are symbolic .We all have shadow.

We all choose how we feel and what we believe right?

jaguar,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

- Jung began as one of Freud's students

- but split from him in a big way in large measure over Freud's rather narrrow view of dreams and dream interpretation

- for myself, any attempt to blend Freud and Jung is doomed to failure as there are certain basic assumptions underlying the two systems that really cannot be reconciled

- so, I recommend you select one or the other system and spend some time (a few years at least) working on your dreams based on that system of interpretation

- my recommendation would be to stick to Jung, of course

>:-}}

- also, using more than one system at the same time invites interpretations that "feel better" - don't like what one system has to suggests, "oh well, I'll just use another that fits my notions of things"

- if after a few years with one system one feels unsatisfied, then investigatng another might be worthwhile

- but remember, off-the-rack-books on dream interpretation are quite limited - without proper background reading and study of the system from which the book is written, one really is taking potshots in the dark and may mislead oneself due to the blindspots we have about ourselves

Again your wisdom astounds me! Lol.

I think I'll get rid of that book.

Incidently i had a dream of going through the stargate to another planet where life was being smothered by moths.
I was told that by an asian lad/lady to kill the moths.

I eventually cottened on to a sci fi movie where a swarm of locusts were electorouted by an electric grid power line combo. So we the team engeniered a similar global thing to do the same and the moths were erm, mothballed.

Since the moths were so prevalent that the sunlight was dim, people couldn't read cause of the moth epedimic, society was stagnating and dying.
due to the teams effort society was saved. hurrah!

Also kind in the dream or another, this baddy dressed in black and with wild hair tried to kill me with a combo of lightining and fire so I was running from him.

What does jung say about that!

I thind freud had such a hang up about sex. Could he even get it up? Maybe thats why he was so obsessed.

Nameste.

Jaguar,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

- since Jung knew nothing of stargate, computer games, etc I have no idea how he would interpret the presence of those things but I think the stargate might relfect some layer of your Unconscious

- and, I think he might associate the moths and locusts with "instinct" and reflex actions to stimuli - that is, action without thought or feeling

- the idea of reacting toward every "light" that appears in front of one seems pretty clear

- the grid electrocuting also due to reflexively following some attraction has a pretty clear message - to me at any rate

- so, from a Jungian perspective the bugs might relfect aspects of yourself (the lower, instinctual aspects) as does the buddy dressed in black represent an aspect of yourself (somewhat less instinctual, however)

- hope this helps

hmm, stargate as tunnell going down to my sub-concious where I'm instinctually jumping at precieved or imagined threats. The moths are overwhelming the planet, i.e. me.
The travelers are my concious mind trying to connect to my sub-conscious, to reassure and protect.By eliminating the threat, 'I'm' safe.
The guy throwing levinbolts at me, is too cool. He is somehow what I'd wish myself to be. Him throwing fire at me is a way of getting my attention. It seems as if I'm afraid of what I might be or become. Maybe he is my subconcious, I should take heed and confront my fears, i expect.
Thanks to your insight, I've been able to interpret the bits and pieces of this dream.
There were male and female in the concept of my concious mind above, who worked together to save the planet.
My male and female in balance?

cheers!:0)

Dear Jaguar,

Your dreams sound interesting and if I may be so bold as to ask how your general health is, emotionally and physically? Are you getting enough oxygen or maybe you are experienceing anxiety and fear in your dream which is preventing you from relaxing and breathing properly.

I agree with your own interpretation that the baddy in your dream dressed in black is trying to get your attention and you running away suggests to me that there's an issue or person that scares you in waking life.

May I make a suggestion for you to consider programming yourself before you go to sleep to not run away from a scary Satan or "baddy" in your next adventurous dream. It may take some practice to remember as your pattern seems to be to flee. Like a knee jerk emotional reaction.

In the first dream you stated that you fled from a perceived Satan face and that others were looking at you directly while doing Reiki which may suggest fear of intimacy. (In to me see). I would suggest to face this "baddy" as you call it in the last dream or Satan face and either tell it to go away; ot call in your dream helpers for help, or/and ask for a gift or ask what do you want? This is the Senoi method of getting information from a dream to become more empowered in waking life.

But you first have to face what is before you, scared or not and hold your ground. As you cannot get killed in a dream literally as I've been shot in the head in one of my dreams and I didn't feel any pain nor did I die in the dream.

This does take practice. And this method helped me to face an issue (disguised as a monster in my dreams) and release some words & emotions I needed to express which was a relief to which I am grateful for.

Hope this helps,

Peace,

Whoa!

Yes! Thats how it is, it seems.

In waking life I'm afraid of intimacy, physical one on one is a phobia for me, and the pattren of fleeing from things in waking and dreaming is very real.

I'll try and do as you suggest about facing my baddies.

My heart palpitates or seems to pause now and then, how this relates to my dreams is a question.

This above physical phenonemon started happening after I got my masters in reiki attunement as of two years ago.

Thanks for the insight.

Dear Jacquar,

You're welcome. I've had some scary type dreams that when I meditated on them have been reminders such as that my library books are overdue as well as deeper issues so good luck and thanks for sharing your dreams although it's what you see the symbols as that is important.

peace,
