Dear All,

I am a newbie but a firm beliver in Alternative therapies and Religion.

I have a relative with last stage cancer - Is it possible that someone can provide him comfort using Distant Healing. What is the pre-requisite of such activity (I have read that the person's photograph is required)

Hi, welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your relative. I know someone in my family who did not make it after she had cancer.

You can place a healing request if you want in the Healing Request section.

I think you can send your thoughts to that person in the meantime. I think all you really need is for the person to be able to receive it.

All the best. i hope that the person is receptive to reiki healing.

I am sorry to hear of your family members illness.

Posting a healing request on the healing message board is a start. However, please obtain permission from the relative you are concerned about. There are many here who would be happy to help out, but will only do so with permission from the person needing help.

As for Distant Healing, it may be helpful to post at least a first name and location. Although some find it useful to have a photograph, it is not necessary.

I find it is also helpful if the person receiving, also sets his/her intent to be open to receiving. All they need to do is say 'I _______ am open and willing to receive Reiki Healing for my highest good.' If the person involved is too weak to speak, then maybe the one who approaches them to ask for permission to have Reiki sent could say something like "Are you _____ open and willing to receive Reiki energy?" Then the intended recepient just needs to nod in confirmation.

Please let us know if you do obtain permission, and post your healing request on the healing board.

The answer to your question Karim, is yes, it is possible. Distance healing with Reiki, can provide comfort if his higher self is willing to accept such comfort.

Anyone attuned to Reiki level II or higher can assist you in your wish to send your relative healing energy.

Please let us know your relative's name and location, so that we who can send, may send our healing intentions to him.
