The Reiki Cafe 

Dear Friends,

I a friend of mine got me into one of these organizations that sends healing to achieve world peace. I don't much believe in them, but she's a friend, and I didn't feel I could say no. Maybe I'm totally cynical, but I don't think just because we're sending Reiki, everybody is going to stop fighting. In fact I think that sending healing is making the situation worse. I feel it is creating a healing crisis, in which things are going to get worse before they get better.

As I said before, I feel the way to heal the world is to heal your own little corner of it.

Any thoughts?

I think you may have the right of it. Trust is called for in this situation though. Sending reiki with the aim of doing something specific doesn't mean that reiki will go to that situation on just our own whim. I trust that when I send reiki it's out of my hands, I trust that my sending reiki is my asking to send it through me, my given permission to ask is a gift from the higher power and consequently whatever happens happens for the higher good. That doesn't negate my responsibility in doing the sending though. That would just be arrogance.

We be reiki with humanity (not the world). It may appear that this is the world, but we found that sending to the world presented obstacles that sending to humanity does not. And actually, we do not send, it is that we be reiki with ourselves then invite whoever to come into the reiki. What actually happens is dark energy comes in, We be reiki until the darness is gone. This may continue off and on all day and through the night. As long as darkness comes, we stay with it.
