Hi conflagration, it is me, the citrine girl.
I have been using labradorite with citrine for some time now. They seems to work as a pair. Citrine keeps me calm while labradorite helps me think higher thoughts (those that are triggered by inspirations ...). I kind of like the thought that both crystals operate on chakras that are either the same ones or quite close together. I also felt that the labradorite creates a strong energy field at the centre of my palm.
Wonder if you want to give that experiment a try. Like to know what you feel. Thanks in advance.
By the way, the another name for labradorite is spectrolite. It contains calcium sodium aluminum silicate. I'm guessing that maybe some metallic properties or silicate "crystals" stuck in the labradorite make the entire crystal sparkle under bright light. It is as if there are quartz or opal particles in it.
The labradorite or spectrolite that I have is greyish in colour. When I bought it, it looked rather dark. The colour becomes lighter over time. The sparkle also seems to increase over time. I have include a picture of it (taken from the web) in my user profile. It is the last picture. Your picture reminds me of labradorites. Hope that you find all this talking "useful" in a way.
There are brighter colour such as bright blue for this crystals as well.
If you do get one, remember not to use salt on it.
