Now I don’t claim to be an expert on seismic activity, but there has been a series of events which led up to the 9.0 earthquake of the coast of Indonesia which can not be ignored. This all could be an enormous coincidence, but one must look at the information and choose for themselves whether there is anything to it.
On November 28th, one month ago, Reuters reported that during a 3 day span 169 whales and dolphins beached themselves in Tasmania, an island of the southern coast of mainland Australia and in New Zealand. The cause for these beachings is not known, but Bob Brown, a senator in the Australian parliament, said "sound bombing" or seismic tests of ocean floors to test for oil and gas had been carried out near the sites of the Tasmanian beachings recently.
According to Jim Cummings of the Acoustic Ecology Institute, Seismic surveys utilizing airguns have been taking place in mineral-rich areas of the world’s oceans since 1968. Among the areas that have experienced the most intense survey activity are the North Sea, the Beaufort Sea (off Alaska’s North Slope), and the Gulf of Mexico; areas around Australia and South America are also current hot-spots of activity.
The impulses created by the release of air from arrays of up to 24 airguns create low frequency sound waves powerful enough to penetrate up to 40km below the seafloor. The “source level" of these sound waves is generally over 200dB (and often 230dB or more), roughly comparable to a sound of at least 140-170dB in air.
According to the Australian Conservation Foundation, these 200dB – 230dB shots from the airguns are fired every 10 seconds or so, from 10 meters below the surface, 24 hours a day, for 2 week periods of time, weather permitting.
These types of tests are known to affect whales and dolphins, whose acute hearing and use of sonar is very sensitive.
On December 24th there was a magnitude 8.1 earthquake more than 500 miles southeast of Tasmania near New Zealand, with a subsequent aftershock 6.1 a little later in the morning that same day.
On December 26th, the magnitude 9.0 earthquake struck at the intersection of the Australian tectonic plate and the Indian tectonic plate. This is the devastating tsunami tragedy that we have all heard about in the Indian Ocean. The death toll of this horrific event has reached 120,000 souls and continues to rise.
On December 27th, 20 whales beached themselves 110 miles west of Hobart on the southern island state of Tasmania.
What is interesting about this is that the same place where the whale beachings have been taking place over the last 30 days is the same general area where the 8.1 Australian earthquake took place, and this is the same area where they are doing these seismic tests. Then 2 days after the Australian tectonic plate shifted, the 9.0 earthquake shook the coast of Indonesia.
A great deal of interest and seismic testing has been taking place in this area, as the government of Australia has given great tax breaks to encourage the oil exploration.
Two Geologists that I spoke to felt that it was highly unlikely that these seismic tests would have had enough energy to induce the Australian quake. On the other hand there is strong evidence that suggests that oil exploration activities have induced earthquakes in the past.
Again, I don't claim to be an expert. I'm writing this story to bring attention to some interesting facts, so that those who are experts can investigate this fully.
We will be following up on this story as more information is gathered.

sunshine,

Hi.

Coincidences? I don't think so.

Causality? I don't think so.

Cheers,

RC

Hi sunshine!
Has the pervasive scent of some Truth about it, doesn't it?
It's so discouraging that humans place our own needs above those of other species! Even the ones we make use and and money 'sightseeing'.
thanks for the insight!
Light and love, lyssa

Yes but....

do you not think that maybe, like this report hints, it goes beyond causing the death of our cetacean friends, but also to wreaking havoc with the Earth's crust, and via the plate lines, was somehow the cause of the massive earthquake.
I guess for me, if there is just the smallest hint of truth, then this issue needs to be addressed, otherwise, these multi-billion dollar corporations will continue to play with our planet and we will see more "natural disasters" like the tsunami, more devastation and destruction, all the while, the governments will turn the blind eye to the sacred cow that brings in the dollars - the oil and gas industry!
This is really scary.
I guess I am no seismologist, but it does make sense that if we take so much from beneath the earth's crust (ie, gas, oil) then something has got to give!! One man argued to me that we take water constantly via artesian bores etc, but then, that is somewhat different as the natural cycle allows water to return into these sources.
Nobody puts back gas and oil beneath the earths surface!!!!
How unstable is this dear Mother of ours, dare I ask.

Hey thanks Lyssa for the reply, it was good to have someone to talk to about this. The media won't touch it (too many implications of course), but it does tend to freak me out.
smiles to you
Wendy

So exactly what ARE you saying, RC? Not coincidence and not causality.....please clarify what you are thinking. I'm not too good at riddles.

I've another theory to offer about the whales. The Kryon site mentions that a magnetic grid has been placed around our planet, just recently completed, that replaces the old ley lines, etc., of the past. The whales and dolphins used the old lines in their migrations and they are being temporarily confused. As the older whales leave and new generations come in, they will all learn the new grid lines.

Of course, I can see sonar testing effecting these creatures greatly, also. Bless them in all this chaos and confusion! I can also see that an earthquake and its resultant tidal wave would tend to get them off course, don't ya think?

Namaste,
Lionheart

Hello Sunshine!
Was just reading and article that the earth is still "ringing like a bell" according to seismographs even now. They said it equates to the earth moving back and forth about a millimeter with each vibration! this quite a large vibration, no? No wonder such animals that use echolocation would be affected!

You and I were saying what a terrible state of energy is around us right now. I do feel it is returning to a state of normalcy as I watch myself and others around me, our energies balancing out once again. What scares me is what permanent damage has this wrought? Look at the weather around the world, it is all "off" and very bad. Have our currents changed, thereby changing the weather around the globe for worse?

I do hope there are people out there that are researching this and coming up with answers. Of course, I fear, we the common man won't know their answers until it's too late :)

Love and light,
Tracey

Otoharo!

I thought I had replied to this thread, perhaps not. It was scientists who tinkered with an experiement which had not been previously tested, in fact could not be pretested that caused the sinking of Atlantis and Lemuria. They shot lazaar beams to an asteroid planning to lodge it into an orbit around the earth which the scientist could use to bounce their lazaars off of. Instead of stopping in an orbit it dove into the earth, breaking up the crust which was the predisposition which has brought on all the changing of the earth's crust, the earth quakes, etc. Man is the initial cause of all the distress.

The fact that we are coming around a corner in our transverse of the center of being (as described in Urantia) means the earth is experiencing forces not felt in the lifetime of humanity probably. I have not heard what the time table of this cycle entails, as time is specific to a single body.

Hey Sunshine.
I agree! And look what happened today...another earthquake 26 km off the coast of Ache, 6.0 on the richter Scale.
I'm no scientist, either, but agree with your point that reducing the amount of pressure beneath the earth's crust must have repercussions. Nature is one gaian balancing act, isn't she?

Wish we were better custodians.
We're experiencing the effects of our first cyclone of the season over here. These be angry waves!
Wish we were better at listening!

love and light,
lyssa

How true, dear sister.
Well, I have witnessed so many affected by this crisis, while living thousands of miles away. I know I have been affected deeply and that was before I turned on the wretched tv set.
I am constantly feeling this vibration in my heart, as are others I know.
The negative energy around the globe is very strong, and all I know is that we have to shine ever brighter and send our love and positive vibes out there to counteract it and diffuse it.
Keep sending the love around the globe, dear friends, even via such networks as the w.w.w., as this must be felt at some level.
Cheers with light and love

thanks for replying....take care Lyssa, over there in sunny but oh so tropical Qld! The weathers certainly are a-changing' aren't they? Our have become so wierd over here, the seasons have shifted about two months...... and also, where we live, once a temperate area has now become tropical!!!
I do not wonder what it next, I am not game to ask!!!!

Like you say, we need to become better custodians and give all honour and respect to the EArth Mother. After all, without her, where would we be!!!!!

Cheers
