What we have been discussing about how society seems to be closing in on us to get definitions, license, etc. I located an article in the Reiki Magazine International October/Novenber 2001. The article grew out of a conference chaired by Paul Mitchell and Phyllis Furumoto at their center in Cataldo, Idaho. There is a newletter, OGM, from the Office of the Grandmaster.
They began, "It was not our purpose to create definitions, but to investigate our own experiences." It is six full pages long and full of warmth. It gives me hope that Reiki itself will guide us in directions that will hold society at bay on this issue.
For instance the rationale for giving four treatments in a row is shown and results given. Silence versus music. etc.
I never did find an address for the OGM.
