Oh, the diagrams on chakras! Don't get me started! I absolutely love them! I first read this book oh, a good 8 years ago, if not longer, and I found the charts and explanations of chakras and auras to be very insightful, and visually helped me along in my own first baby steps in meditation and spirituality. I especially found it interesting to see the diagrams that depict the back chakra's, how they spiral, what the blockages looked like in both the chakras and the aura....
When I begin to teach, I will most definately be referring to this book to describe the effects of Reiki on the chakras (if the student doesn't already know about chakras).
There is so much more to this book, which I have forgotten until you've brought it up again (thank you!), which I will browse through again to refresh my memory - I find since my recent attunement that certain realizations are happening more often, regarding a higher level of understanding, so things I may not have noticed or understood 8+ years ago, I'm getting it now.
I too, appreciate the fact that Ms. Brennan has brought forth scientific examples to energetic healing.
I am rereading a few of my many Reiki books, (getting myself psyched up and building up confidence before officially beginning to teach), but the Light Emerging is sitting on my coffee table, waiting in line to be read....
Do feel free to share any thoughts/questions on Hands of Light, and let me know if you will be getting Light Emerging...we could be internet study buddies if you like! (open to anyone else reading this book too!!)
