Dear Friends,
Namaste...
I have an opportunity to buy a few Cds at wholesale prices from a wonderful catalog (almost 200 pages) filled with so many kinds of music...multi-cultural, therapeutic, relaxation, sacred sounds, etc.
Have you any recommendations to help me make my choices? I'm looking for some pieces to play during meditation and also some to play to calm my entire household (or energize them, as the case may be!).
If you have some favorite Cds that you reach for again and again, please share the titles or artists with me.
Thank you, dear friends!
Love and Light,
Lesley

Dear Lesley,
The ones I listen to frequently these days are: Reiki Hands of Light by Deuter ( been listening to this for 3 years), Holy Harmony by Jonathon Goldman , The Lost Chord by Jonathon Goldman. There are many more but these are the ones I pick up most often. Goldman's work puts me in a sacred space & it's great for self Reiki. Some may find it too "heavy" if you are looking for light stuff.
peace & joy,
holobon

Lesley dear!
I suppose I could write you a long list but I'll go for putting forward just one CD set for now! It's a set I use generally for Reiki. I first heard the CD's at my hairdressers where they mainly play Indian music. On this occassion they put this relaxation CD on and I found it SO peaceful and relaxing I felt like the whole salon was operating in slow motion! I have bought so called 'Relaxation' CD's in the past and to be honest have found a high percentage of them to be annoying! Until I found this one, now I don't search for the 'perfect' CD anymore this one suits me just fine.
Title:-
Rainforest Relaxation (3 CD Set)
(3hrs of relaxation music)
MasterSound
1998 Mastertech PTY Ltd.
My husband also enjoys the music when he's reading.
Ok Lesley, sorry I've not got back to you, I'll be in touch over the next couple of days.
Enjoy!
Lots of love
Judith x

Hi Lesley,
I am particularly fond of a native american group called Coyote Oldman. Their 'House Made of Dawn' and 'Compassion' CD's are my favorite.
When I work or meditate I also like 'Sounds of Light' by Crystal Voices which is singing bowls. I have found though that some find the bowls an irritation.
Hope this helps.
I would be willing to burn a couple for you if you like.
Walk in beauty,
Rebecca

Thank you, my friends, for the recommendations!
And a grateful "yes" to the offers to burn me some Cds. I have many things pulling at my money right now. It would be good to be able to spend that money on other things...and still build a new part of my Cd collection. (I will be in touch to work out the details.)
Love and Light,
Lesley

Hi Lesley,
I prefer Gregorian chants for my reiki sessions. It's even tones do not distract my thoughts.

Hi. For energizing I enjoy anything by Michael Hedges. He is a genius musician and has made the guitar to do things I had not thought possible.
Enjoy,

Ian, hi, namaste ...
Forgive a naive question from someone not conversant with the p.c. to any great extent ...
I know I have the facility to "burn" cd`s, but how do I download music from the internet? When I go into Amazon or the like, to check on a cd, I am only able to play a small snatch of each track. Where do I find the actual music to download please?
Many thanks,
love and light

I am finding lately that a very simple CD by "Reflections of Nature" called "Ocean Waves" is excellent for both relaxing a recipient, and for me for focusing on Reiki. It runs 68 minutes, and contains no music -- just the flowing, ebbing and crashing of surf on a beach, with the occasional seagull flying by. I also like the time it runs, which helps me integrate it into a session.
Blessings,
lunarreikin

Dear Lunarreikin,
Namaste...
I own this Cd and play it every night to help me sleep! If I wake up throughout the night and it has stopped, the first thing I do is hit the play button again (I've worn a spot on my remote control hitting that play button over and over!).
My husband teases me that if I ever slept by the ocean, I'd still need my ocean Cd...and he may be right. bagl
Love and Light,
Lesley

Otoharo!
Lesley, I prefer Enja. Especially the song "Pilgrim". De Bussie . Mozart, especially adazios, and Andantes. I like my music but you would not find me in your catalogue!
