Hello Iboman,

During and after my Master attunement I saw many visions; primarilly of Native American spirits. The first vision was of the snow eagle then the others followed one afer the other; not all Native American images. I felt very drawn to do some online research in this area along with Shamanism.

When I listen to my N.A. flute/chanting music during massages I see images again; not all of the time. They seem to bring me much healing during these times.

I feel for you your painting and your meditation are tied together with these spirit visitors. Listen and watch for the messages as more will come.
Out of the understanding and acceptance of this sadness can come much compassion and joy later. Re-connect to nature/Mother Earth. I go outside every now and then and plant my feet on the earth to enjoy a nice grounding and centering. Maybe you need this too??

For many hearing chanting is a great connection to spirit.

I look forward to hearing more.

Donna

Hi Iboman,

A Buddhist monk once said to me, "To understand our present we must first understand our past".

By this I take not only my personal past, that of my past lives or even my cultural past, but of humanities past.

Our society deictates that it is correct for us to take cultures which have been subjected to torture, genocide or occupation such as American Indians, Aboriginal Austrailians, Indians and Tibetian Buddhists, and mystify, exoticise, pity and exhonerate them.

Listening to Native American chants whilst in a state of meditation it would be quite suprising if one was not to touch upon ones compassionate centre and start to see the bitter irony of the situation.

If the spirits speak to you, or your own compassionate heart speaks to you, of the suffering endured by the Native American culture, not only at the cruel hands of invaders but furthermore at the hands of 'New Age' spiritual exploration and commercialism, and you are moved to understanding then accept, explore and let it lead you.

Love and light to you

May you always be with your journey

Shanta
