re-incarnation

I have been thinking about this lately:

The general idea about re-incarnation is that you reap what you sowed in your previous lives, right? So if you were a nice person in your last life then you will have a nice time in this one.

Well, I have been wondering lately if I was a nice or a nasty person in my previous lives. And I having some difficulty in coming to a conclusion because I find that in this life I have had a range of experiences, going from the pleasant and wonderful to the downright horrendous.

I believe myself to have been quite lucky in many ways because I have a full and working body and a fairly good brain, and I come from a reasonably well off family so there was always enough money around for me to develop myself in whatever way I wanted.

On the other hand family relationships were not ideal, to say the least, and also some of the people I have met and become embroiled with in life have been frankly quite abusive and nasty.

So I am left with this question - which are the bits I am inheriting from my previous lives?

I think it's important to know this because then it would help you learn what you are supposed to be learning in this life, wouldn't it? At least it could help you speed up the learning process. Or maybe it doesn't matter; maybe you don't have to be consciously aware of these things; maybe your spirit learns the lesson from the experiences anyway whether you know it or not.

Another thing I have been pondering is this - do some things in life just happen or is EVERYTHING planned. Is EVERYTHING part of your lesson agenda? Can you go wrong and get distracted from your agenda by arbitrary events and mishaps?

If Everything is planned then that means that you don't create anything in your life. Everything that happens to you would have happened anyway no matter what, and the only things you create in life is what you make of things in your reactions to circumstances.

I have more thoughts on this but I'm afraid of boring you all to death and I fear I may get very confused at some point. Can anybody help me out with this?

Many thanks,

Nelys.

Try reading The Disappearance Of The Universe by Gary Renard.I cannot tell you for a fact the theory expanded in that book is the Absolute Truth. But if it resonates with you, it might give you some answers.

- if you are making this suggestion to me (and that is not at all certain) I would offer:

- it is the questions that matter, afterall.

- if your suggestion was for nelys? Well, then to borrow from the original SNL, "nevermind"!

Oh, yes, The Great Illusion...but if you treat everything as illusory therefore pointless, you might as well stop doing anything, sit back & wait for enlightenment to descend upon you...right?

In the meantime, no need for relationships, work or leisure...and ultimately no need for food or shelter cause if anything the body is as illusory as everything else...

Needless to say no need for Reiki either...

As for helping other people to understand all that...no need to go out there trying to help them cause it might be considered spiritual ego...you just help those who come to you by telling them ''My dear friend, no need to solve that problem cause you see, it's all one great illusion!!!''

Yes???

- I am glad you understand the issue of Illusion so very well. I will eschew a bit of sarcasm that came to Mind and simply go back to work so we can pay off our mortgage sooner than later.

nelys,

Hi.

Just a few thoughts. The Karma which manifests from the effects of our thoughts, feelings, actions, reactions, andsoforth can not be predicted so is not, in that sense, planned. And since Karma carrries from one life to the next it is difficult to sort out this stuff from life to life.

How we behave in this life will reflect in large measure the 'habitual patterns' we have established in previous lives (so in one sense some of life might be thought of as 'pre-planned). However, this does not mean we cannot break out of those olde, undesireable patterns, which can serve as hints to our Karma, (some patterns of compassion being desireable, of course) by 'choosing' to do otherwise. Of course, some of these choices are not immediately obvious nor easy to make even if grasped. That is where learning' and behaving more compassionately seem to come in.

Cheers (a cunundrum wrapped in a mystery wrapped in an enigma)
