Office in Stamford, CT

On a corner of Stamford, Connecticut, at one time (and maybe still) sat a tiny building. In years gone by, that little building started life as a one room schoolhouse. When I was a little girl, the building had been turned into a real estate office. The sign above it stated in big letters, "Realty".

Now, being a little girl at the time, and not familiar with the word, I read the word as "Reality". How reality could be housed in such a small building was one of the great mysteries of my childhood mind.

I never was able to solve that mystery. I was also very disillusioned when I finally learned that the word was not reality, but something as mundane as selling houses.

roxy,

Hi,

I have heard the expression "not much real estate between the ears" applied to someone of limited vision or to someone who is narrow minded, etc. Now, depending on how one interprets the expression, one might well make the poignant substitution: 'not much reality between the ears'

lol

Cheers,

RC

Roxy,

Hi,

Is that the same as saying it is all an Illusion because what is realality is based soley on perception?

:)

roxy,

Hi,

Well, you seem to have begged the question very nicely. Spare realty? Spare reality? Spare change? Spare status quo?

lol

Cheers,

RC

aronaya,

Hi,

Maybe someone will give me a paintball gun for Xmas and some colourful ammo; might be fun to see what comes up on the canvas. I have sometimes wondered if Rorschach used a similar technique (mush less hi-tech, naturally).

lol

Cheers,

RC
