I would like to post two visions I've had recently during meditation and see what you think:
Meditation/Vision: The Key
I started my meditation going through a beautiful forest, as the speaker on the meditation recording suggested. I came out of the forest into a field of green. There were flowers. In the distance I could see trees, and rolling grass covered hills. I saw a red and white checked blanket in the field and my mother was there. I went to her and sat down. She looked at me and said “you found the key!” I came out of the meditation.
(Note: is "the key" meditation? imagination? or something else...)
Meditation/Vision: The Shower of White Light
As my meditation started, I was in a shower of white light, naked, as in a shower of water. I was being cleansed by the light shower. When I stepped out, Christ was there with a white towel, which he wrapped me in and held me. He was warm. He gave me a white shift or dress to put on. I was in a green field, with flowers, on a blanket to lie down in the sun. Children were laughing and playing, they were all dressed in white. A little girl with blonde hair came over to me and handed me a yellow flower, like a dandelion. She ran back to the other children. My mother came up, Christ hugged her. She was dressed in a white dress about to her knee, she was beautiful. I looked down and she was barefoot. She hugged me and smelled like I remember her smelling. She sat down with me and asked me if I still had the key, I brought it out from under my dress, it was on a chain around my neck, I said “I still have it.”. She threw her head back and laughed, and Christ, who was sitting a little bit away from us also laughed, and then I laughed. During the time I was there, children came to Christ and he would hold them and then they would go back to playing. I said “I can’t stay here, can I…” and they both said “no”.
(Note: why were they laughing? Because I drew out a "real" key? I was laughing too and I don't know why.)

Wow, judyg, this is powerful stuff....I'd be pondering it forever. How do you feel afterwards? I mean...calm, settled, peaceful...as if you're being shown the way? I remember years & years ago, I was meditating. Saw these beautiful clouds...watched them form into a huge figure...that became a Indian shaman....and when it started to enter me....I shocked right out of that message, baby! I so regretted it, but realized that I just wasn't ready.....girl, you must be ready. I'm so pleased for you.

I was calm, but curious afterwards. The interesting thing is, I could say that it was "all imagination", but then, things happen in them that surprise me. I don't know where those things come from, I am not consciously making them up. It was so beautiful there.... I've had other visions, and my 8 year old son had one about Christ also, that was very intriguing.
Briefly I'll relate it... something was bothering him that he had done, and he felt guilty. This wennt on for a couple of weeks. Finally he asked me what he could do. I told him he could take it to Jesus and ask him to take it away. He got quiet for a few minutes (we were riding in the car).. and then he said he had done so. He said he closed his eyes and he saw Jesus and he had a big black trunk. Jesus opened the trunk and my son put his worry and guilt inside the trunk. The trunk was full of people's worries. Then Jesus closed the trunk. He said to my son "you imagined the trunk, but you're not imagining me". Then the vision was over. And my son felt better and knew that he could go there anytime and put things in the trunk.

judyg,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- such 'visions' are always close to impossible for someone else to make heads-or-tails of since we will likely project all sorts of our own 'stuff' into what, in this case, you describe
- having said that.............
- has your mother passed?? Did she meditate or have astral gifts?
- as for the 'real key' in the second meditation: was the laughter of a 'derisive' or slightly sarcastic nature?? Your concern if they were laughing at you suggests this mght be so
- yes, when you mother said, during the first meditation, that you had found the key I do not feel she was referring to any sort of form-based key - and you do not mention having the key that apparently now shows up in the second meditation
- it is possible that the second meditation is somehow trying to help correct some misconceptions you may have about the first meditation
- if you have a meditation diary then further such 'visions' can be recorded to be sifted thru later for threads and clues
- and, yes, sometimes it is tricky to differentiate a true astral excursion and an active imagination event
(the former often requiring mindful intention and the latter not)
- in the case of an 'active imagination event' it is possible to project aspects of our Unconscious as we do in dreams
- thus your mother may merely represent an aspect of yourself - as do the other characters in the second vision
- the appearance of christ could be interpretted as a way to make the vision experience compatable with your christian beliefs (there are, afterall, christians and other who take 'visions' as 'evil')
- hope this helps

Dear Judyg,
Sounds like a fun vision. It's hard to figure things out in real life much less our visions.
When my dad was dying he kept telling me to get the keys. I had no clue what he was talking about but the word keys do have alot of significance such as ki in Reiki. Opening some door to some special place or something. Keys to the Kingdom comes to mind.
Carolyn Myss stated that we have to stop trying to figure out the mysteries of life and just move on with out knowing all the answers as there will always be mysteries.
Thanks for your post.
peace,
Prosperity

Oh! Prosperity! Thank you so much for your post! I think now I DO know what she meant about finding the "key". Ki, as in Reiki! Yes, I had just started reading about Reiki when I had this vision! And yes, my mother has passed about 14 years ago. It was a pun! And she was very witty like that. And yes, I can understand the laughter now. No, I didn't feel like it was derisive laughter, and I was laughing too, like I understood why we were all laughing.. but after I was back here, I did not understand. Now I do though.
Yes, Mama, I found the "ki". Thanks for pointing me in that direction!
