I find this to be true enough: if one does not feed themselves, they feel weak.
If one entertains themselves lustfully, they may feel sick some day.
We do better when we stay on healthy diet and life style.
We can decide what we do in our life time. We can distinguise what we are comfortable about and uncomfortable about.
When we exercise our mind, soul and spirit in a productive manner, and do wonderful and interesting activities (keeping only to godly deeds) we have already started to live with a more fulfilling life.
The dreams may also be of better things and situations...
Inspirations will probably appear more often.
Take care. We can still find peace within ourselves ...

Dearest Starjasmine,
thankyou for sharing this.
Just a few thoughts it sparked in me:
I am pondering the concept of enertaining self lustfully sometimes causing one to feel sick.
The reprocussions of lust are much deeper then simply sickness or health. In my experience lust is an exploration of the self in more then simply a physical sense. It may leave you confused or facing parts of yourself you didnt know existed (I talk not only of sexual lust, but all types here). It can be an important process of learning.
I have difficulty defining Godly deeds, good and evil. Healthy and unhealthy is maybe an easier definition.
I try to do all I do with simplicity, kindness and love.
This does not neccessarily bring me the richest dividends in terms of how others treat me. But it lets me know i am being myself.
Love and light
Shanta

while i agree that a healthy diet and healthy lifestyle helps one heal both on a physical and emotional and perhaps spiritual level, i dont agree that lust, per se, is neccessarily an evil.
i am a very physical being (although that is not the end-all of who i am) i enjoy physical pleasures. i will not deny myself physical pleasure (be it chocolate, sex or shopping). to deny one's sex drive, in my humble opinion, is un-godly.
i do not believe that human beings are meant to live celibate lifestyles. just because i choose to practice yoga, reiki or any other spirtitual practice does in no way mean that i have any intention of denying my very human needs and desires. if anything, my meditation and yoga practices have put me more in touch with my physical body and more aware of my greater capacity for pleasure.
there are tantric goddess-worship practices dating back thousands of years utilizing the lustful pleasures of sex, eating meat and drinking wine. who is to say that these are not equally as valid or significant?
personally, i am still finding a path that suits me, for my physical, emotional and spirital growths and enjoying every lustful moment of it!
namaste,
skywatcher.

Firekeeper,
I agree with that statement. I like to be philosophical. There will be disagreement in almost every topics.
I have a deep conviction with the idea of a righteous God that knows how we feel. He/She knows how to make our lives more worthy and fulfilling. If we keep soiling ourselves on purpose(in the spiritual sense and in terms of morals), how can we expect the heavenly bodies talk to us as if we are ready to be enlightened. We will just keep turning a blind eye to them. we will be just learning to clean up rather than move on to a wonderful path.
About lustful behaviour:
I follow the idea in the bible about lust. We should not be in the "flesh". If we are of the flesh, (sinful nature), we will continue to be lustful. i.e. greedy, self centred, vain etc. We cannot enter heaven while in "flesh".
Of course, this is metaphorically speaking or a parable.
Hope u are not offended. Only wish to clearify all that I have previously written on this topic.
Thanks and I try to find peace in this world.
