The Reiki Cafe 

In the year 2001, I had access to the woods, and spent time meditating and writing songs out in nature. One day, i heard or felt earth asking me to write a song for her.

How can a song represent you?
You are so varied, and beautiful.
Who are you Earth?
Are you the dirt we walk upon?
Are you the rocks of the river bank?
Are you the water of the river?
The trees?
Are you the sky above?
Are you the clouds?
Are you the grasses of the field?
Are you the grain?
Are you the birds that sing?
Are you the elephant?
Are you the fish that swim?
Who are You?
Are you the volcano?
The earth-quake?
The mountain?
Are you the core?
The molten core?
What are you?
Varied, and beautiful, Earth?
You are our Mother.
You sustain us.
Earth.

You mark our days.
You grace our nights.
You hold us in your arms.
When we trust you, you keep us safe;
And you always love us;
You love us.

Thank you Earth for the beauty.
Thank you for variety.
Thank you for the joy of your being,
Whoever you are,

You are Mother Earth.
When I lie upon you Earth,
I can feel the love pour in.
When I walk upon you Earth,
I feel the steady underpinning.
When I look upon you Earth,
My heart fills with joy.
