The Reiki Cafe

Today I had a really wonderful and uplifting experience, which I would like to share.

I went to a psychic and alternative healing fayre today. For some reason, my mother in law, sister in law and myself felt drawn to go. I supposed that it was because there may be Reiki connections there.

Anyway, the second stall that we encountered was auric photography and readings. Being intrigued by auras, I decided to have it done. When the poloroid photo developed and the lady was giving me my reading, which was very accurate about my personality and what is happening in my life right now....she pointed out to me, that very clearly on my right hand side is my Guide. She also pointed out two further Guides, but this particular Guide she says is a very loving soul, a gentleman and is so close to me. On the right hand side in my aura, I could clearly see the shape of a head shoulders and upper body, all in a wonderful orange colour, in complete contrast to the blues and greens of the rest of my aura. She also told me to just talk to him as he wants to help me. For so long now, when practising Reiki, I have sensed my guides, but have been frustrated because I am unable to communicate with them....today my wonderful Guide found the perfect way to communicate with me and I feel so protected knowing that he is here :0)

Whilst talking to a Spiritual healer, I mentioned to her that I am a Reiki Practitioner and was talking to her regarding the problems that I have balancing Reiki with my family life and the uncertainty that I have of whether I will ever progress to being able to teach Reiki. 10 minutes after our conversation had ended, she came and found me and told me that she had received a message from spirit to tell me that I will be teaching in 10 years time :0)

This has been so encouraging for me, I really wanted to share it, for all those who sometimes have doubts like me....spirit will find a way of getting through :)

Congratulations on having your experience, - excellent :) Thankyou for sharing it.

I went to an alternative healing fayre earlier this year, and i found much the same as you did, by the sounds of it. Didn't happen to be in Manchester or Ilkley, did it? It was fairly expensive.

I had my aura photographed, but the result was not so good because someone had wound me up, and although i was calm, i must have still been fairly annoyed, which is unlike me.

I know this was not good, and i admit i failed not to be angry that day :)

What made it worse was i'd waited years to stumble across somewhere that would take a photo of my aura, i'd finally found one, but i'd been deliberately agitated ten minutes before my turn.

Anyway, it was a disaster, my whole aura was red, with maybe a hint of violet at the top of my head. As i talked to the people at the stand after, i took a dislike to their attitude, and realised i had made a big (and expensive) mistake as we all do from time to time. Oh well. Lesson learned, and i hope i have better luck next time.

Sorry to hear that your experience wasn't so good, I hope you'll have a better result next time. I'm sure that when the time is right, the opportunity will present itself to you again.

This fayre was locally in kent. There is a new website been set up here in the south called mystic-mouse, which details all the events etc. going on locally.

I wish that I could see auras for myself, I think it would be a wonderful aid to the Reiki. Hard as I try, I have only ever managed to catch something that resembles a heat shimmer around the body....no colours to it. I still find it completely fascinating that all our thought forms and emotions show up in our aura :)

The harder you try to 'see' auras the less likely you are to succeed:)) Murphy's Law :)))
Try looking at the person's shadow on the wall (shadow as on a sunny day) and start by counting the number of 'shadows' you can see, then in time these 'shadows' will 'shift' and begin to take on clolours... Let me know how you get on:)) L&L jonjo

Yes you're probably right about murphy's law :)))

I have tried this briefly this afternoon on my own shadow, I saw after a little while a kind of glow and then a tinge of colour...not sure whether I was imagining this, so I'll keep practicing :))))

Hiya. Check out this link below, you should find it quite interesting, if you've not seen it before. The techniques have worked for me so far, and there's an interesting bit about aura cameras... I've a feeling he's onto something :)

I did not look at the site, but Kirlian photography has been done for some years now.

- an interesting experience. My wife an I did a "joint" Kirlian session which was quite different from our individual "photos".

Hi. IMO, Kirlian photos are fascinating, you're very lucky to have had a session :)

Some of the text on the site, by the sounds of it, i think is referring to 'aura photography', but not Kirlian photography, which looks totally different. There's some confusion about it - well i'm confused, anyway! LOL

What he has to say about aura cams is very interesting...

I had a feeling Helen was talking about a normal 'aura photo', because the way she described it sounded familiar; and when i had my photo taken, there was no claim that
it was a Kirlian camera. Hmm, but perhaps Helen did have a Kirlian photo after all?

Yes, the fascinating thing about the Kirlian sessions we had was that if we "turned up the juice" so to speak the energy could be seen jumping from our fingers - and if we 'shut down' a bit, the next picture would show this as well.

The person doing the pictures, of course, was not told when we were doing which. The only way he could know before the apparatus was activated would be if he was clairvoyant.

My wife and I also did some joint ones as well where we "tranced" ( a little) together holding hands - focusing on only our love - and one where we 'turned up the juice'. :-}}}

Really fascinating how the photos were quite different.

The aura photography may well be a more sophisticated Kirlian technique - but I would be more "impressed" if an individual could alter the pictures in a series by "intention and mindfulness" - as we did in our Kirlian sessions.

I am not at all sure what to make of the "spirit" cam and "spirit photos".

To me it presumes that there are guides around us at all times, in case of doubt, (which I doubt) and that they consent to be captured this way. Entities on other planes do not necessarily come when we call. :-}}}

At any rate, I would like to do an aura photo or three sometime to "run my own tests", as it were.

Thanks again for your much-valued insight, i look forward to tracking down someone with a Kirlian camera... :) I saw a picture once of two people, where the intricate
'branches' of energy could be seen reaching out to each other. Amazing. I'll have to dig up the link... :)

On my travels on the web, i even found instructions on how to build a DIY machine! Perhaps i could throw one together at work in my lunchbreak... LOL. Maybe not - i'd probably end up with a new Addams-Family-fingers-in-the-socket hairstyle. :)

Personally, i've been a little dubious about the spirit and aura cams, and also the text on the original link i posted says they're a simulation of what the camera designer thinks an aura should look like, based on info from clairvoyants, - the variable being the 'galvanic response' from the person's skin on the machine.

I was reluctant to say so, as i didn't want to for want of a better expression, 'de-value' Helen's experience if this is the type of photo she has. This is just my opinion :) I know very little about them to have a proper opinion really.

I dug out our Kirlian photos last night and was immediately reminded that there are colors that change shape and hue as well as the 'energy matter' and one can see all of this on the photos.

This would suggest to me that the auric photos may well be a higher-tech Kirlian process - as ours were done several years ago.

Yes, an artist's rendition of a clairvoyant's report is hardly what I would call a photograph - but may be quite accurate nonetheless if the reader is a bone fide clairvoyant.
