Sorry to interrupt, but...

Hi All,

It's a shame to break the philosophical, shall we say, bent of the recent threads, but I have a very practical problem that I need addressed. I need to Reiki my own lower back, and I can't. My arms get too tired if I hold them in that position too long, and it isn't enough to do any good. Has anyone got a solution to this timeless problem?

Blessings,
Roxy

Philsophical? My dear, you are Too kind.

I treat the front with intent for sink-through. Might try it at the sides, too. An alternative, if you're up for it, is to project yourself (in a compfortable position, of course --- maybe sidelying with a pillow between your knees) and treat like that. It's a technique I've employed on clients when I didn't want to roust 'em by asking them to turn over. Got some good and interesting results with it, too.

Bright blessings; hail Eris!

Roxy,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

- several methods occur to me: go in thru the abdomen as Goldenisis suggests - simply haveyou r back areas draw the energy thru the front - breath into the back thru thr front

- do distance reiki on yourself

- call on a reiki-bud to come over (or send distance if hands-on is not available

Reiki all around,

Otoharo!

Roxy, I injured my back several years ago and faced the same issue. I put a healing balm called Tiger Balm on it (I could just reach the areas) that was for two reasons. It does bring some relief, and it focuses my attention to the area I will be sharing reiki with. Then lying on my back, comfortaqbly, I was reiki with my hands on the upper body directly over the places on the back, keeping my focus on the back. Relief came!

Another method is to get someone else to place their hands there. If they do not have reiki, then hold their leg at a comfortable place and let reiki flow from you to them back to you.

After doing hatsurei ho, or your usual self healing. You can do one of a number of things.

Visualise an imaginary self sitting or lying in front of your physical self and place your hands on the affected area on your imaginary self and let the Reiki flow, similar to a distance healing.

Visualise an imaginary self standing behind your physical self, with your imaginary self placing hands on your affected area, and let the Reiki flow.

Or a combination of these. With your physical self in the middle.

After all it is the intent that is the main point not the physical laying on of hands.

Hope this helps, you can some-times actually feel hands touching you when this is done. And you can certainly feel the Reiki flowing.

Reiki light,
John.

I can thoroughly endorse tiger balm, as a healing balm it is absolutly fantastic. I am sure that it speeds up the healing process, when it comes to aches and pains in the back and muscles and joints.
Unfortunatly, my mother can no longer use it. After a series of radiotherpy last year, her skin is to sensitive for it. So it may be worth just trying a small test area, to make sure your skin is not going to react to it.
I have seen it in 2 varieties. Red and white. The red one is the stonger of the 2, but can stain fabrics.
I have posted the link to the website in resources

Ivan draws the power symbol on the back and seat of chairs with the intent to heal the back. I reiki the lotion bottles with the intent that all muscle and joint pain will be healed......call it my reiki treatment in a bottle. The lady that works in my place on my day off commented on how much the residents like the lotions....the verbal one's comment on how good they feel.

Hello Roxy. This is nothing new, but if I were you I would find a comfortable position and send distance Reiki to my back. From what I have heard it can sometimes even be more effective then hands-on, and you have enough experience that you probably could do it real effectivly. This is just one of many possibilites, as I am sure you know, many of which do not involve Reiki. I hope you feel better soon. Let me know if there is anyway I can be of help. Blesssings.

Hi you two,

Thanks for the reminder about Tiger Balm. I realized I had an old jar in my medicine cabinet, and I tell you, that stuff never goes out of date. It makes a really big difference!

Blessings,
Roxy

Very true, Mr. Dave...

But there are some times in your life when momentary relief means one Hell of a lot.

Owwwwww....

Thank you all for your suggestions....I eventually did find a way to Reiki my back, and this morning, I'm much the better for it. Thanks again.

Roxy
