The Reiki Cafe 

Was on ICQ & had a request to talk from a native american who appears to be on a shamanic journey, I felt a thunderbolt of energy into my heart chakra, my upper abd & lower back and my left (predominate) hand..tremendous heat in my lower back(after about an hour of chat)...he said he was not "doing" anything but he has been told by people on the computer that he has great energy, very srong..I tend to agree...later when I went to bed i felt it course thru me again almost like a seizure, kinda arching my back..stomach area was trembling...anyone ever experience anything like this?

Have you ever heard the term 'protect yourself'? It is not just a term. Energy knows no barriers or distance. It comes with a thought.... just a thought..

Why should the computer be a barrier or a pathway... just a simple machine made of wires and CRYSTALS, right?

AND this is the stuff from a person who is on his own spiritual quest. So ask yourself what other stuff is coming your way.

Thank you, Priestess for your concern...I did not feel a threat..but of course, that is the most insidious threat, that which we are not aware of...I am opening up after years of building & maintaining walls, so I acknowledge that I may be too open at times...however, I see myself with a blanket of white energy, light & Gods love around me..feel protected & acknowledge the protection of God, angels & guides....

The experience you had sounds kinda familiar. The energy anyway.
Their is a symbol "Lightengbolt" that came to mind when you speak as if it struck
your body. I think of this as a power initiation. My niece was looking at one of my
other nieces and saw what she described as lightening bolts going into her crown.
Deanna is a true natural at healing.
For some reason I"m not surprised it went into the areas you describe.
The heat in the back area low sounds alot like Kundalini energy.(at the end of spine)
Sometimes
when our thoughts are on high we will activate this without knowing we are.
The release could have been strong enough to produce the results you are
describing though I've never had one that strong.

Thank you, Susan...it does help... the energy was so fast & strong without warning & supposedly not deliberately sent and it stayed with me for awhile...i moved when it entered it was that noticeable...unlike anything I have experienced..since Im still new to this, completed level 2 just 2 weekends ago, Im looking for feedback..and appreciate all I get here..have been on a roller coaster of ups & downs since Level 2..releasing & receiving & looking to validate since it is very easy to misinterpret due to lack of experience..

Your description sounded somewhat painful, I just went back to re read it.. It still 'sounds' painful. So maybe not as bad as it sounds on the board.

The point being, that there is being open to helping others, and just being open and unprotected... I am sure you are taking care of that end of it.

He may have helped stir up your kundalini, but I pretty much doubt that that is what was giving you spasms.

Never doubt yourexperiences. They are very real to you, and yet we allow
thoughts that it may not have happened to creep into our minds. This is not
what you should be doing. Remember that you are asking for these direct
experiences and you are getting exactly what you ask for!
It is always very hard to move past a physical world for one of spirit. Then when
you throw ego into the mix, you have sometimes a lethal dose of
negative thought.
I sat meditating one day and had a wonderful experience with my guide.
He gave me a gift though it took me a while to understand what he had given me.
I was very estatic because I'd finally understood the gift and laughed with pure joy.
Then I sat at my puter
and wrote it down. The experience sounded so far out that I began to question
the entire episode. But the funny thing was, I wasn't in a state of non awareness,
I was in a state of expanded awareness. :)
I got truly upset with myself for a while, and couldn't accept the fact that I may have
received something as precious as what I'd been given. The funny thing was the gift
wasmore than just what hehad given me. The gift was about accepting my truth for
myself and knowing that Spirit was really there.
Once I was able to release this doubt, my happiness grew. I saw this happen to my
Niece. Instead of it getting easier to trust her own experiences, she seemed to be
getting stricter about being shown proof. The funny thing is, if you are constantly looking
for proof, you never see whats right in front of you.

The thing is, whether it was good or bad, painful or not, it was sent to you without your permission. Period. That tells me that anyone could send anything to you and you are not protecting yourself. AND PEOPLE DO SEND DIFFERENT ENERGIES to people without permission. (As you have probably seen on this and other boards. they will send attunements, healing, whatever, and say that they asked for YOUR higher good.) While this may SEEM ok on the surface, if the intent is high, they may also be sending you their OWN stuff, which may not have the same high vibration, in fact could be very low if they have a lot of clearing that they have not worked on. (non reiki stuff.) I know that there are those people who are so intent upon doing attunements (no names) that they 'practice' by sending attunements to people on the board, and telling them later. (NOT a good practice.)

I tend to think that if your body is having 'spasms' it is trying to clear the energy that came to you. To remove it as quickly as possible.. that perhaps the reiki you deliberately put into your body, was rejecting the new energy (or spirit) trying to enter.

OK, now I understand what you were saying, Priestess, thanks for explaining in detail....( I feel like I should say duh,I finally got it..!!!) I was thinking about what you said this morning as I woke up, which means it was on my mind while I slept..and I think it would be a good practice for me to ground myself with symbols prior to using the computer, do you agree or is this overkill? There is much more I could say about the experience but the bottom line is that you are right, energy was sent to me without my permission...I know that I have powerful protectors around me..a Reiki Master(with my permission.hehe..) was working on my heart chakra where I am blocked and felt tremendous force bending both her thumbs backwards ( of course, I never considered before that it might have been my own energy doing that)...i wasnt ready for a release at that time...because the first place I felt the energy from this person on line was in my heart chakra, I accepted it willingly because I desire the release so badly now...so again, you are right...I was way too open to energy from someone I dont know.....the advice that I give to those closest to me, well, I just didnt use it myself..I had just received a phone call regarding a family illness & my senses were dulled...guess this was a lesson I needed to learn...many thanks to you Priestess for caring enough to spend the time responding....many blessings to you this day and always....

Susan, I have no doubt that it happenned, it is the meaning or the intent that I can not fathom..I have had experiences that I do not understand over the last 6 years, and at first sought to understand the meaning of each..have come to realize that the meaning becomes clear down the road or it is not meant to be "understood" but just to be experienced..however, my left brain still wants to KNOW!!! Cant shut that off no matter what....The problem is that am opening up after a long period of being closed off, having placed my life in Gods hands,knowing that He sends helpers my way...it is my choice to open to them or to pass...the issue is how one is to determine if a person or experience is in one's best interest or not (does it come from god?)...the guy on line could have been sent to me for my own good or could have been there for another reason..perhaps grounding myself when i wake up and before I go on the computer would be a good idea for me...to be perfectly honest, I have spent my whole life running from Spirit, Im not ready to protect myself to the extent that I only let in that which I am 100% sure of...I would not have accepted Reiki if that was true. You are so right in regard to worthiness,I struggle with the gifts that spirit has given me & am sometimes over whelmed with how unworthy I am to receive them. This is another hurdle for me..to feel unworthy is to let a whole bed of negativity into ones life...I keep telling myself that all this would not have come to me if I was not worthy of carrying it....

The thing is that we feel 'safe' in some places we go to. In our homes, for instance. Our guides do a wonderful job at protecting us from so many things. But at times they let 'stuff' thru, so that we may learn. They are not parents putting cotton wool around each of us to protect from bumps. ;-))

Thought forms can attach from all different sides. (felt one last night at work....nasty little bugger) but WE can dislodge most of them at will, some take a bit more work.

You can use your own energy to push it away when you feel something attach... or ask that: whatever is NOT yours must leave. Also: what IS yours, but no longer serves you must leave as well. ;-) Those two take care of a LOT of issues. It is a matter of common sense and intuition. If this had been comfortable and great to begin with, there would not have been the underlying feeling of something wrong here... That is why you posted it. You chose to not wear rose-colored glasses.... that is why your thoughts were back on this as you got up today.

The truth may be hard, but once you see it, you don't really have to repeat the same lesson again in your own life. It is a choice.

For your heart chakra, make it a practice to find the tender area and do clockwise circles in that area with your right hand.... while you send reiki to it. If you had a large release, there may be a little damage, and it needs some TLC. ;-) While it is still healing, make it a practice to just cover it with your hand if you feel something around you that does not belong...

Some time ago, a friend requested that I give her reiki, impromptu, of course. (she is also a reiki master) The area I scanned revealed solar plexus blockage. I put my left hand on her back, and right on the front so front and back chakras were engaged, figuring I could work the energy back and forth and (hopefully) release whatever was blocking. Immediately energy was trying to push my right hand away. I did not feel that SHE was doing it, but it was giving me quite a workout! Energy is really something.... YES?

I can really relate to what you are saying.

I have times that I feel really scared by Spirit, because I cannot logically explain it. I have been told that I am well protected by my Guide, but every now and then I still feel uncomfortable with it all and I have to remind myself that I am protected :)

I truly feel that I am at last following the path that I was destined to follow in this lifetime, but at times it still scares me and at the same time fills me with wonder.

That's why it's so great to be able to share with others on these boards and learn from their wisdom and experiences too.

It's possible, you have answered part of your own quetion:)) Congratulations on your attunement to reiki2.
After each attunement, as I'm sure you know, we open up even further. For the physical body to catch up with the spiritual body in this realigning process can take a bit of time - which is why some people go through such tough de-toxing sometimes. It is also true (in my opinion - which doesn't make me right) that during this period we are more open, than we might otherwise be.
Was it God's will? Who knows for sure? But you aint 'alf getting some good advice, and you are learning on the fast track, so that must tell you something:0)))

Well, Helen , I appreciate the vote of support..feel as if there is a tightrope to walk between opening up too much & closing off too much...always seem to be at one end of the spectrum or the other.. a little balance would be nice!!! But Ill never learn to walk that tightrope if I dont lose my balance from time to time, eh?? :)

Well, jongo, I have a tendency to be hard headed & surely do learn better when dropped on it !! HeHe...if someone was trying to get my attention, well, they got it, for sure !! Id like to believe that a lesson learned early on prevents a much larger blunder down the road....

Well, Priestess, I guess I deleted my original response to you,( or the puter gremlins are at work ) so here goes again : thank you for the suggestion re the heart chakra circles, started that as soon as I read it..and you are right, I wanted it to be OK, but when the energy followed me to bed, I felt like maybe I was into more than I could handle...I feel protected but understand that protection requires me to use sound judgement & common sense...and why wear my angels out more than necessary !!

I am well acquainted with those boulders, bounced around off of those for years. We were good friends (?) at one time. For myself, I hope they are all gone to that great light in the beyond..... ;-)))

For myself, I prefer green grass, and flowers that smell delightful....so will concentrate on that....

Just ask your guides to make your path painless and loving, the way you do other things. as you ask it, you quit putting stones in your own path, and eventually run out of them... ;-))) Or at least a lot fewer of them..

The computer is irrelevant as far as the actual energy activity.

- If in fact the source for your bedtime energy experience was the same as when you were on-line, obviously the computer is irrelevant.

That the energy found you initially was perhaps due to the chat connection established via internet.

Shamamic journey? It is not likely that this was the case at the time you had the'chat' - maybe the person was on the 'shamanic path' but that is the braoder matter than shamanic journey - sounds a bit like Coyote on the loose.
