hi,
i have been suffering with depression for the past 12 months. eventually i had to see the doctor and have been taking medication for the past 10 months.
i have given distant healing to someone once as they were in desperate need.
i want to give more.
the tablets are working fine im no longer crying at the drop of a hat.
i havent been doing many self healing sessions at all since moving to the new house( i just couldnt relax to do them),i think this is when my feelings became to much for me to control. health wise just about everything has gone wrong.now starting doing more self healing, the only difference from before is that i have more sensation in my hands while doing the aura.
gone completly off the subject - is it ok for me to give distant healing whilst on this medication.
take care

Dear Twirl,

Depression, apparently as an inherited neurochemical imbalance, runs in my family, and I've been on antidepressant medication and stable now for years. I'm well aware that too much stress can well necessitate a temporary increase in my dosage. May I suggest that you talk with your physician?

I've never received feedback from anyone that they've been mysteriously and adversely affected by my sending to them (always with permission, natch). There are, however, times when I simply don't feel up to it.

Take care.

Dear Twirl,

Since the medication is clearing up an unhealthy imbalance, I would think it's better to send while stable on medication then imbalanced and unhealthy on none. I've been on anti-depressants for years, and my feeling is I am putting someone more at risk if I send while I am in the throes of an active depression than if I have it controlled by medication. And as Goldenisis has observed, I have never had any bad feedback from the Reiki I've sent while on medication.

Blessings,
Roxy

hey,
i don't see why not. when you treat others with reiki you are becoming a channel for reiki, you don't use your own energy. to make sure that you let only reiki flow thru you, just say it (out loud or quietly) that this is what you want to happen.
while giving another person a treatment you will be getting one yourself.
reiki is smart energy. just remember that.
take care

Hi Twirl,
have suffered with depression very long and regularly.
After I got in touch with a lovely person involded with a method "family constellation" from Bert Hellinger, demonstrating that we inherit destiny of last generations, I had such a constellation and could see and live the reason of this depression. After 3 months, I had no trouble with it anymore. Cannot go deeper herein as it is very personal and i would take too much time to explain. Anybody interested may do some research on the web on a.m. subject.

For my part, I never accepted to take anything medication (donīt ask me why, I donīt know...) and I never was able to send reiki to anyone or even to make a self treatment when suffering with depression.

But I suppose, when you can and you do, it is ok......

Bye for now and take care of you

Blessings

Hi Twirl

I'd been on pills for about 2 years till last month when I thought I'd see if I could come off them.

The reiki I give myself and other people is no different on or off them, and the more self-treatment I do the steadier I seem to be. I'd definitely recommend self-treatment once or twice a day, it can be difficult sometimes but its worth it in the end.

Best wishes

Sal
