The Reiki Cafe 

I will be starting my Reiki Level I in one week.

Although I have never had Reiki performed on me before, I'm wondering if it is a SURE THING that I will be able to heal myself as well as others after a 12 hour course.

I've read a few posts but some say that even if I don't "feel" anything in my attunement I will still be able to use Reiki on myself and others so I just wanted to double check.

I want Reiki more than anything else right now in my life and I guess I'm just really hopeful and anxious and wish it was next week already.

Proper training, attunement, and practice will make reiki a pretty sure bet for you - of course you have to 'accept' the attunement. :-}}

Healing? An almost infinite issue.

I can assure you, though, that you will benefit in many ways - some may be dramatic (or not) - others mundane - others very subtle.

I too felt like you before my Reiki attunements and Reiki has been all that I expected and more :)

A bit of advice given to me about treating self and others was...have no expectations, just let the Reiki flow.

This is a piece of advice that I have sometimes had to remind myself of :))

Its a sure thing that Reiki will exceed your expectations! Go in with an open mind, an open and loving heart; and be sure to be fully hydrated with extra water.
Some feel nothing with attunements, some have wonderous feelings.....if you are open - Reiki will run. It is not dependant on 'feeling' the attunement. Trust....a hard lesson for me to learn.....But, Trust in Reiki, and enjoy!
