I've finally taken the next step in my Reiki path. Last night, I made my first Reiki I - my first initiatory attunement since taking my mastery class!
Being my first attunement to someone not already attuned to Reiki, I naturally felt some anxiety. Part of me knew it would work, but part of me still sat on the edge of my chair after the attunement, almost bursting with anticipation while waiting for my attunee to join me in the present world.
The attunement process itself was not much more than very relaxing to him - but at least it wasn't a negative experience :) After the attunement, my husband turned into a guinea pig so I could teach my new attunee hand positions. A tremendous flood of relief washed over me when the attunee commented with great surprise about how much his hands had started burning! *laugh* Then my husband, who's pretty sensative to energy, gave feedback, saying he felt a lot of energy pouring through my attunee's hands. I just sat there with a huge smile on my face, repeating over and over to myself "Great gods, it worked!!" *laugh*
I cannot even begin to relay how absolutely wonderful it felt to watch him come alive with Reiki energy after an attunement that I performed. I know that it is the energy that made him a Reiki channel, but I did help somewhat at least! And afterwards, I felt so amazing, I almost couldn't believe it! To feel the energy surge through me like that... wow!! What a wonderous, amazing thing, this Reiki stuff :)
