Hi Rachel,
Please let me tell you a story..
I first learned about Qi/Energy while I was in Kung-Fu class..
The Teacher never told us we were doing Qi-Gong exercises ..We did it because it was expected..
Well about a month into class, we are doing our "Standing Meditation" and there it was..
a small tingle...
a little buzz...
a strange yellow "haze" surrounded your hands...

We asked "whats this" and the Teacher laughed and
said..
"Its Qi"... and it will take a lifetime to learn all
of its essences...

When I asked, years later, why people dont
"feel Qi" at first..
I was told this..
You have dan-tains (storage centers) and as you do energy work they will fill on there own, they do this naturally as you sleep so thats another reason to get good sleep,it builds your Qi..
Because you were taught to open up to energy...
as a Reiki Channel, as the body fills with Qi/energy
one begins to feel it more and more.

My insite about Energy...
"When you believe you have Qi in your
hands it will happen"..

Its been 22 years, so far,
I promise you that every day I learn something
new about energy and my
abilities to use it...

Enjoy your path...
you have a lifetime to understand it...

But you can "have it" when your believe you have it..

Many people will dismiss the feeling of Qi flowing thru the fingers. They don't want to acknowledge that it is real.
When you know it is real you can then start to understand it and are able to access and perhaps use it.
Or you could put it another way
"Believe and recieve...
Doubt and do without"

Dismissing it does not make it any less 'real' when one has already had the 'perception" (we will leave aside for now that perceptions are Illusory) :) To say you know it is real is also simply perception (same caveat for now)

But to ask how to access it and how to harness it to one's Intention may be the questions that lead to 'receiving'. One simply has to allow for possibilities. Do all possibilities manifest in one lifetime? I would venture a rousing Nope.

So, if I doubt that Qi is unreal does this mean I will not receive? Does it guarantee that I will?

Every single one of us can expierience Qi, Infact we all have Qi circulating around our bodies.
Can you learn to use that Qi?. Yes of course you can
When you have expierienced something, that dosn't neccesarily make it a perception that you have expierienced it . Yes you could can twist words into making it seem so, but as words can also could also be looked at as an illusion, we would then being going round and round chasing the illusion of our tails trying to get it.

Do all possbilities manifest in one life time?. I doubt that there is time (LOL).
Do we infact have more than one lifetime? Well some like to think that we do.

As my Master said..
(keep in mind he is 84 and has limited english)
"Who had Qi?"
Some raised there hands..
Then he asked "who dont have Qi?"
A few hands went up..
He bowed his head ,sadly shaking it...
Looking very upset...
He would look up and say
" Sorry to hear it,
because,
Alot of Qi, Good...No Qi ... you DEAD!"
Then he would stand there with a big smile and that "Masters Twinkle" dancin' in his eyes..

one can try to cloud its being there
with fancy words ...
but in the end it all comes out in the wash.

After 22 years of energy work,
I have learned this simple thing
Energy is what connects all things...
Thats my belief...

Thats is why last night, I can sit here in NYC
and send Healing Qi/Energy to Victoria & Michael in Georgia, Binni in Massachuttes, Natalie in Delaware.
or
Heal a Dear Friends Doggie in Argentina.
I can draw the insite and powers from my Totems
and use them...
See a hawk fly by and know its message.
Rick taught me to find the Heart of a Tree
and connect with it, actually breath with a tree...

All of these things are because Qi/Energy
connects each thing to another..
Again this is my belief....
Its no illusion...
Anyone can see it...

If they believe..

Hi Joe,

now it makes sense why good rests is helpful. Not only do we heal, we are refill the depleted qi.

I have not let myself see any further than " if I rest, rinse, and eat fructose then I can be ready to feel energy."

Now, the fuller picture is formed. Yes, we need to refill. Then we bring to awareness etc the energy within us and around us.

Also phrase like "please expand on that" could be made common. Maybe abbrivate that phrase to "p.e.o.t" .
Imagine a page of info just filled with extensions on one or two ideas. Maybe we need copies like this type of page for the most common "please elaborate" topics.

I have seen this guy in a Qi-Gong
Master Level Class, who was sitting in the middle of a circle, surrounded by..
12 students, all talented, aspiring Masters,
2 actual Master Level Students and
the Master himself all "blasting" this guy..
He was on fire..he was glowing,
He sat there swearing that he felt nothing..
I was waiting for him to explode!
At least burst into flames!
ROFL.

Qi is am amazing thing..
Once we begin to understand its nuances,
it changes forever the way one see the
universe and beyond!

Building Qi..
As I said we build Qi as we sleep..
Everyone does this..
No training is necessary, the body just does it..
But the amount of Qi "gathered" is determined by
the length of time and the restfullness of the sleep..
If one is a Astral Projector, like me,
they are up all night and get less Qi then those
who just Dream & Sleep...
Thats one of the MAJOR reasons this Bear does
Tai-Chi & Qi-gong,
I want to make sure my "tanks" are full..
I never want to leave room for anything to be picked up..

Most people I see burn off the alotment
of Qi by the afternoon...
then they just push through the day feeling
drained and not themselves..
If one has a stressful job...
they tend to burn off there Qi by early morning,
and bitch & moan the rest of the day,
because they feel the lack of Qi in
there bodies...

I better get off this soapbox and go get
my needed rest!

Hi Joe, nice chatting with you.

When we astral travel, do we bring a sleeping bag? Then we can rest before we re-enter our body... only to find that it's time to be up again! Imagine falling "sleep bound", all tired and "unmoveable" in the physical body!
It's hard to use words (even descriptive words) to explained the above "experience". Hope you managed to picture the sleepy astral body returning and surprising the physical body. :)

Maybe while we sleep in the astral plane, we can dream in our astral body. Like a double dream. Just thoughts....

StarJ, in probably 94, my teacher, Xaris, said to me, I want you to stay in your body! I had been traveling out of body all my life. It is easy for air people to do this. But that is not why we are in a body to start with. Otherwise why be here at all? I have obeyed that injunction completely and what I have been able to do is fantastic. I have healed things I did dating back to at least 20,000 years ago. AS I see it there is no benefit to us in the astral, discontent is the quality of those I found there.
