Hi,
Has anyone ever noticed when doing Reiki that if they hit a problem area they get aching and pain in their fingers and hands? I noticed this recently when treating a serious condition. When I moved from the 'problem' area, the aching stopped.

Hi Helen,
I was taught that this could happen and a few times it has. If any pain is too strong then just lift your hands up for a several seconds and it will stop. Going to a new area is fine but I would also go back to that painful area once again.

Helen,
I should also add that I would use the CKR in this painful area and situation.

Hi Donna,
Many thanks for your reply, its very helpful,
Yes I was drawn to draw CKR over the area, I spent ages on the area. The pain never got intolerable, just uncomfortable. The only other time I can recall it happening so strongly was actually after doing an attunement on a student and it lasted a few days afterwards, which was strange.

helen,
Hi.
Such times can be very good opportunities to do clearing or extraction work if the person will allow it.
Cheers,
RC

Hi Rc,
Thanks for your reply.
Would the Ketsueki Kokan technique come under extraction and clearing? At the time I felt that I wanted to 'pull' and move the energy down and out through the soles of her feet. I worked on the same 'patient' today for the first time since her operation and there were no aching hands in that area, this time I just felt a need to fill the aura in that particular area and lots of energy going into the thymus...

Otoharo!
I have postponed replying as I have so little to contribute. I discovered in the first year of having reiki, that when my body reacted to anything, it was because it was not use to that energy. Since that beginning, there has been no bodily reaction to anything. For several years, in our reiki shares, we stayed as long as time allowed on anyplace that seemed to need it. Then we learned it was better to move on to all the positions and let them all cook at the same time. Like cooking a meal. If one stands at the stove with one item, the other items never get started. As for pain, I have never felt pain in me or anyone else.

Finality,
Thanks for your reply.
It seems that each person's perception of Reiki is as unique as each of us :)
