The Reiki Cafe 

Does anyone else seem to generate more body-heat (or have a heightened sensitivity to heat)than before being attuned to reiki??? Years after I was attuned this situation has not settled down with me (& I can be found hibernating in the summertime!!)...N.B. it's not change-of-life!!!....

Yes, I also have a increased heat. I had it told to me by this great Reiki master I talk to online that it is because of the increased higher vibration we are now attuned to and nothing more. I am wondering if we could learn to shut it off

- if the heat is presumably a sign of 'higher vibrations' then if you want to turn off the heat perhaps this might mean lowering your vibrations again??

- however, as I am told from various sources (women) 'heat' can be an early indication of menopause - and may occur as early as age 40 - but does not mean menopause will be "early", so to speak.

- there are many reputable sources of information on this phenommenon (hot flashes, menopause, pre-menopausal 'flashes', etc)

- and remember, heat is only one indication of 'energy' or vibrtations, etc - and actully one of the least subtle signs

- for example, the heat could be related to Kundalni and thus not to Reiki or menopause (though, in the end it all ends up in the same cauldron)

An overactive thryroid can cause feelings of being hot all the time. If you are also experiencing weight loss or any of the other symptoms below, you really should have your thyroid checked.

The following is a quote from WebMd as I wanted to make sure I got it right:

"A thyroid on high throttle often causes symptoms such as a rapid or irregular heartbeat, nervousness, irritability, hunger, tremors, a wide-eyed stare, diarrhea, scant menstrual periods, infertility, excess sweating, and heat intolerance. It may also cause you to tire quickly and lead to muscle weakness, weight loss, mood swings, insomnia, poor concentration, and shortness of breath."

Of course, it could be totally unrelated and you are simply vibrating enthusiastically.

Gimme those good vibrations.....

- yes, I think the lesson here is that 'heat' may be due to any number of factors that are quite different from "higher frequency vibes" (the heat of the red face of embarrassment for example)

Of course, then there is the relative temperature - today, while it is snowing there in NY - it is a beatiful 84 degrees here. I plan on fully enjoying this cool weather that we are having as I know once it goes up 30 degrees, it doesn't really matter what I'm vibrating at - its hot.

Here's to the spring wildflowers, which are blooming in abundance this year.

After my level 1 attunement I was hot all the time, but this has settled down and now, unfortunately, I am COLD all the time. Just the ripe old age of 36 but feel cold like my grandma used to. My hands still heat up during reiki and I get very hot during reiki when there is a lot of energy being moved.

Dear Firekeeper,
Namaste.
Recently, I visited a very famous spiritual Guru here in India. I was sitting in the big hall with thousands of other people. As soon as He entered the hall, I streched my palms in His direction as if to seek his blessings. He was also turning in my direction n I felt my reiki shooting up, my palms getting very very hot n I sensed a strong reiki flow. Was there any energy transfer here?

Dear Denisek,

Others have told me that they still feel great heat at level 3, much like hot flashes. It does seem to differ from one person to the next. Maybe it has to do with individual body chemistry?
Have you tried channeling the excess heat down to the ground?

denisek, I have tried before and my computer quits on me. I want to point out that body reactions are due to not being familiar with reiki energy. as soon as your body is comfortable with it, the reactions cease. The energy itself does not change, only your body. On the other hand, when you provide reiki over a long period of time, your body may begin to feel cold. This is because we who are preparing ourselves for the big shift, are living for LIFE. Those who are not, are living for DEATH. That is, they are living for the time they will die. Death is cold. Therefore your service to people may result in your picking up on your client's energy that will feel cold to you.

Why do you want to get rid of it???
The heat is a result of ur increases in
Qi flow & storage..
Its a GOOD THING!
The more you store the better energy worker
you become...
Your not a channel..
but a energy worker...
Thats why you store energy ,
not just pass it through!
Your not a channel, your a Energy Healer!

now... you can bring in cold Qi..
but thats another story..

Getting rid of the heat in ur case...
Its like taking half your power and throwing
it away..
The heat is a result of being open to
recieving energy..
NEVER close that down..

YES, you can partly close down ur 3rd eye,
that will keep the info flood at bay...
I do this sometimes too when I am too open..

I am not saying people dont do it..
Just Why???

How can one have or store "too much" personal energy/Qi, that one needs to give it away to the ground or Universe???
In 22 years of Qi-gong practice I have never heard of the need to give away personal energy???
Even asked my Shi-Fu (Teacher) and he is a Lineage Holder
& Grand Master of Imperial Qi-Gong as well as a OMD & a lisenced Accupuntcturist.
Said "practice better Qi-Gong and there is never a need"
