Hi all
I have been looking at getting some magnetic jewelry to ease my back and neck pain, but have came across some information that it might mess with my reiki energy.
Anyone having any information on this would be much appreciated.
Also, can anyone tell me what to really look for in magnetic jewerly?

Dear Angelhair,
I have given myself Reiki & had Reiki treatments by others while wearing a large magnet on my lower back without any noticeable effects.
peace & joy,

Otoharo!
Hi, Angelhair, I am not an expert about magnetic jewelry. Since Reiki is not polarized, (it is a unified field energy) I doubt that a magnet of any kind would have an effect on it.
I am developing a hump on the back that I have an exercise for that does wonders to relieve back and neck pains. Find a sturdy place where you can stretch your arms against one side and your feet against the other. A tall person for instance can simply stand in a house trailer and reach the ceiling and push against the ceiling while standing firm on the floor. One place where I lived had a bathroom the right size for me to lie down, placing feet against one wall and hands against the opposite wall. Now I place my feet against the south wall of the living room and my hands grasp the legs of my coffee table which is very sturdy, and will not move. The push is what is called for as it off sets the pull action on the back and neck muscles. This is not just an exercise. One has to at the same time, breathe in and out in mindful manner. that is, visualize a pipe sticking above your head and below your feet that you breathe energy into from both ends and it enters into your belly area and swirls around, energizing all your body. Count your breaths while doing this. Do not do it more than twelve breaths at first.

Holobon: Thank you for your information.
would you by chance know how to tell good magnetic jewerly from a lessor or weaker one?
My concern being that vendors will tell you anything to sell their product.I cannot seem to find any good solid information on the internet.
Any other information on magnetic jewerly would be greatly appreciated.
One last question, Do you know anything about the different poles of the magnetic? I have been told that the north pole magnetics are more healing than the south pole ones, But...:)} the south pole magnetics seem to have a stronger pull to them. and of course..lol.. the north pole magnetic jewerly are more expensive.

Hi Finality
I will take in considersation about Reiki not being polorized. That along with Holobons experience has helped me quite alot. Thank you.
I do a similar excerise as to the one that you described.
Like you, I am also on the very short side of height
I can only imgaine it will be hard trying to find a spot in the house to access my shortness. lol.
I will incorporate the breathing into this . It sounds a bit like pilates and yoga that i also do.
Thank you once again.

angelhair,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- without knowing the 'source' of the pain (accident, degenerative process, etc) it is hard to know what to recommend
- but magnetic jewelry would be way down on my list (if it even would make my list)
- be that as it may? I would recommend gentle yoga (for an extended period of time) - if you can find a physical therapist who uses yoga this might be ideal
- for myself? skip the jewelry and continue the reiki
