The Reiki Cafe 

Hello all,
iv'e had a really nice day today the sort that leaves you happy and warm, and a few incidents have occurred which if anyone could shed some light on id be grateful.
I have given 2 reiki treatments today one in the afternoon and one in the evening.
After the afternoon treatment the lady gave me feedback on what she felt.
she saw lovely colours then tibetan temples with spinning circles on the top, at the time i was around her feet, she said she felt as though my hands were on her shoulders and saw the silhouette of my guide (i have a picture of him in my reiki room, that my reiki master gave to me)
i did sense him in the room at the beginning of the session.
the lady was so happy and had a strong feeling of love with her, it was fantastic to see her leave looking so well.

the evening reiki session i asked my friend what she would like to listen to, and she was drawn to a meeting your angel cd that i have.
she was fully relaxed again sensed my guide in the same corner as before. was down at her feet again and my back went icy cold as if i was leaning on a block of ice, it felt as though i had fur on my back and as if it was thick and standing on end, nothing scary just a really intense electrifying awareness. it went up my back neck and skull and went as quick as it came.
moved toward the top of the bed, my friend opened her eyes looked scared and said she felt as though she was floating, as if her legs were being lifted.
went down to her feet grounded her, i was unsure of what to do and just symboled the room asking for love and light. through out the session the room felt lovely - cold spots here and there but thats normal.

i asked if she felt ok and wanted me to continue, she did.
later she said she sensed something dark going up towards her, but said when i went to her feet it went away .
she said she felt as though there was something bad in the room in the bottom corner, she mentioned that she had also sensed this dark shadow in her own home.
there was a square area of coldness that when you moved into it, it visibly chilled the skin. i associate this feeling with my guide its a reassuring feeling to me, i explained this and she did feel better.she also commented on seeing a face, when i asked for her to describe it, it fitted the description of my guide
can anyone shed any light on this, im confused
maybe iam wrong - i just hope ive dealt with everything correctly.

Welcome to the cafe :)

I am sure there are others here who will be more qualified to comment than I, but a couple of things sprang to my mind when I read your post.

The first was that if you intuitively feel that it is your guide, then it probably is. Secondly if she perceives some dark energy around her at home, it could be shadow issues.

It sounds to me as if you handled the situation really well. The only thing that I might do is to smudge both myself and her before and after the next Reiki session. You might also ask your guide to step back a little, his/her energy may be a little strong :)

I would agreee that perhaps your guide is coming in too strongly for some of your clients, but if this lady has cold patches at home perhaps she has some underlying or past lives issues to resolve?
any chance you can treat her at home?
It sounds to me like you sorted it out really well, I'd love to know how you get on with her.

- if this is in fact a static cold spot (regardless of whether the furnace is running or people come and go in the room) then it may be indicative of something that happened there (likely unpleasant) in the past (maybe before the building was there or when occupied by others)

- if the cold spot goes away when you leave the room then it may more likely be an entity somehow associated with you , as you suggest

- another possibility is that for some reason you (or your friend) have projected some aspect of yourself away from the reiki area (even done so without realizing it) - but I would put this possibility farther down the list for the time being as that sort of "projection" is not common I would say and not done at the drop of a hat, so to speak.

- the idea of smudging is a good one

thanks so much for all your replies, i will put your advice into action
when my friend gets back from new york(her hubbys running a marathon their) i will go to her house to give reiki.

hi db,
do you 'run' a 'practice from home?
if so the room (or whole house after this sort of thing has happened) should be cleansed, as other clients can bring in their yuk! & leave it with YOU......I would go the this ladies home & give her Reiki there.. thats if she is the one person you give Reiki to in your home?.......
but always cleanse the room 'before', & after a 'treatment'....it also 'lifts the positive vibrations...
