The Reiki Cafe 

I was taught to draw all symbols in violet and imagine a violet energy coming down like a waterfall.
Except for Rei which I was taught to use white.

Can any others of you tell me if you imagine colour coming down for symbols and Rei. If so, what sort of colours do you use and what sort of results have you found with those colours?

Has anyone experimented with different colours?

Any of your feedback is very welcome.

I have never colored my symbols. I,ll try that.
When I start a session I ask the universe to fill me
with the right energy, Usually the color is white light, some times it is yellow. I use whatever is sent. At the end of the session when I am grounding at the feet I call
in a rainbow of colors, it seems to be the soft color of
God/universe that flow down through the body easy and peaceful. they all have their place and I don't have to direct then.

Hi,

My experience suggests that when a person accepts and uses the Reiki energy it is their responses that determine "colour"; it is their energy bodies that may 'glow' in various colours regardless of what we imagine the colour of the energy we send to be.

Hi Dominic,
I was not taught to draw them in a specific color and really don't think about it. When I use them, which is rarely now, I just do a mental image and place them.

Not quite on point to your question, but . . . when I see reiki, it's either gold or violet.

When I returned from a session with Lazaris, in 1994, my energy was so high I felt like I was walking on air. During this time, I met the person I call Xaris, and had a reading from her. She commented that the reiki channel was wide open, may as well use it! The same week end, I had an aura vision picture taken. All the space around and above my head was green. From this experience, I have assumed that reiki is green. I still experience it always as green.

Original Usui Reiki teachings 5 levels down back in the 1980's never considered any other color of pure Reiki light other than white. (My own aura photos can attest to that. Yellow before attunement (at Teacher level) and pure white after.
On the other hand, using violet (the color St. Germain asks us to use to incinerate negativity could never hurt. If someone has a cold, you can whip up a concoction of whiskey, lemon, butter, honey and heat it up first, or you can just give them they honey or any combination of the above. Since Reiki is the putest healing energy it has to be white to incorporate ALL the colors. Focusing on any one of the colors can do no harm.

AND, even after I had a complete white aura, I had to practice Reiki and focus on keeping my thoughts pure to maintain that level of light - didn't do it very well! There are no quick fixes!!
