The Reiki Cafe 

Its been a year now since i became Reiki 2.Not once has my Reiki master contacted me to see how things are.In fact my Reiki 2 lessons saw me isolated from the rest of the group.I had to continue them alone as the rest of the group suddenly couldnt do the evening lesson.I dont mind but have not contacted my reiki master because i feel that i am not welcome.My interest is distance Reiki and i feel that i am being supported elsewhere.To my surprise i had an invitation to study reiki 3 from someone completely unknown to me.I have asked for guidance and wonder if this is the right thing to do.

Hi Cherry Bee,
Don't feel so bad about being shut out. Perhaps you had surpassed your RM and he/she knew this on somelevel. Perhaps there was a lesson or lessons that you needed to learn on your own. I am now a RM myself and never had a relationship with my teachers. What I learned after my courses I learned by doing and sometimes making mistakes. That's OK, that's how we learn. I have had people from this site advise and help along the way for which I am so greatful.

The bulk of my work is distance and I love it! I am clairevoyant so my distance work is visual based and exciting.

I would love to talk with you more about the distance work you are doing and want to do. If I can be of help let me know.

My RM never contacted me to see how I was doing -- not after level 1, not after level 2, and not even after my RM attunement. Not once, not ever. Just took my $, taught me the stuff, attuned me, and let me run with it. Though to be fair, she did say I should call her if I needed to. In my level 2 group two women got into a big competition about which of them was more spiritual -- I was so irritated I didn't even feel the attunement! But you know what, it didn't in the least affect the reiki I do. I think people are called to reiki, and it hardly matters who does the attuning. The energy does what needs to be done.

Enjoy it! And if it's long distance reiki that you are called to, then do that :)
