The Reiki Cafe 

Hi there everyone! I just wanted to stop in and say how glad I am to have found other people interested and practicing reiki! I'll be receiving my reiki 1 attunement on the weekend of feb 11th-12th I am soo excited I can't wait I'm so happy to be able to finally do this I've wanted to do this for 6 years now!

My only question is this. How long after your first sttunement do you really start to feel the flow of energy when you sned reiki? I'm sure it will vary from person to person but I'm just curious of everyone else's experiences. Thanks everyone! :)

Welcome to the cafe and congratulations on the beginning of your Reiki journey :)

It depends from person to person some feel the flow immediately and others take a little while longer. But the more you practice Reiki the more you will feel it and the differences in your hands. The less expectations you have the better, just go with the flow, practice, practice and practice some more. Oh yes and above all enjoy! :)

You might find it helpful to keep a journal, that way you get to see how far you have come and remember the experiences that you have had.

Hi Firestarter,
good luck on the attunement - once you are attuned in theory you can give hands on immeditately, trust in it - even if you can't feel much to start. Over the next few weeks do self treatments as often as possible as this helps to get the energy flowing 'on demand' without the mental preparation.
Most of all enjoy the journey - this is just the beginning and amazing things are likely to happen!
