Faithinfire,

Hi,

This is, verbatim, part of the introductory passage at the Celtic Reiki site: "Celtic Reiki is a version of Usui Reiki, which uses vibrations of the Earth and specific plants to create a healing and manifestation contusive environment. The Reiki energy mimics the frequency of various trees and plants to work in accordance with channelled and Celtic wisdom."

For myself, I have some problems with this statement. In particular the sentence that states: "The Reiki energy mimics the frequency of various trees and plants to work in accordance with channelled and Celtic wisdom."

ULE does not mimic. All Life Energy is part and parcel of ULE. This includes plant life energy. And wisdom, celtic or otherwise, comes from one's connection to and use of the energy; not the other way around as the author seems to imply.

So, I find this statement spurious at best and more towards ridiculous. But, we each have to make up our own minds about whether we are buying snake oil or ??????

Cheers (ULE, neat, for me),

RC

Otoharo!

I agree with RC. Reiki comes first. Reiki allows the energy to be fluid so it conforms to whatever. But basically, these are two different things. Get reiki first and feel very confident with reiki. Then learn the rituals.

faithinfire,

Dia duit!!

I am a celt and a reiki practitioner, so I guess my reiki is celtic.

rofl.

Seriously though, imho, there is only one reiki.
The form in which it is delivered might vary, but the energy remains constant and unchanging.
We humans appear to have an uncanny ability to try to complicate things so, lets keep it simple.
Reiki is universal and will always be so.

Hope this helps.
